While there’s not much racing here this weekend there is plenty other events happening plus a special local show celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Racing Preview has some good news for those wanting some motocross practice time, a call for entries for a woman’s event, a place to go and get information on public land access and a event that some area racers will compete in. And it also has what’s on TV as well as streaming on the Internet.

Some area go-kart racers will be heading to Reading, California to compete in the KPX Super Regional races. Those wishing further information should check, www.shastakartclub.com.
Those area motocross riders that want to get in some practice time or throttle therapy will be glad to now that the E Street MX Park in Marysville will have sessions from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Local women and girls that race motorcycles might want to check out the Women’s All Star Invitational that is going to be part of the flat track races at Carson City in August. Those wishing further information need to check www.ontrac702@gmail.com.
This weekend is the 50th anniversary of the Lockett Reno Expo, a show that has something for just about anyone, especially those that recreate in the outdoors.

In addition to all the exhibits, including the 4-wheel drive part several groups, including the Blue Ribbon Coalition, will have booths. These groups are working to keep public access on public lands for recreation.
It’s a good place to get caught up on the latest news and what’s happening on the legal side of this.
And looking ahead, the Amsoil Arenacross series is returning to Reno next week after an absence of a few years. The schedule will be published next Thursday on this site.

Thursday’s viewing begins at 11 a.m. as www.fanschoice.tv airs the American Flat Track Daytona TT. Then later it streams programming from Sebring.

REPORTERS NOTE: As of Wednesday night I’ve not found any place broadcasting the Daytona 200 on Saturday. So one might check with Fanschoice.tv on Friday just to be sure as two years ago it was a last minute set up for what used to be the premier race of Daytona Bike Week.
Also on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. NBC Sports airs NASCAR America while Fox Sports 1 has NASCAR Race Hub at 3 p.m.
Friday begins at 7:40 a.m. on Fanschoice.tv with programming from Sebring including qualifying later that afternoon. Over on Fox Sports 1 they have Xfiinity and Cup practice as well as Cup qualifying at 4:45 p.m. from Phoenix.
Fox Sports 1 gets Saturday started at 9:30 a.m. with the start of the 12-hours of Sebring. Then at 10 a.m. CBS Sports first has Snocross followed by a Pirelli World Challenge event.
At 12:30 p.m. Fox airs the Xfinity race from Phoenix while, at 1:30 p.m. fanschoice.tv has the Performance Plus 150 from Myrtle Beach Speedway.
Finally Saturday ends at 4 p.m. when Fox broadcasts the AMA Supercross event from Indianapolis.

Fox Sports 1 gets Sunday rolling at 10 a.m. with the NHRA event from Gainsville, Florida. Then at noon CBS Sports has a Ram Snocross event.
The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup event from Phoenix begins at 12:30 p.m. on Fox.

At 1 p.m.. NBC Sports has a Best in the Desert race followed at 2 p.m. on Fox Sports 1 with a Monster Jam event.
Over on MAVTV they have a series of events starting at 1 p.m. with Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League, then Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and Lucas Oil Drag Boat racing.
