    Rattlesnake Raceway: David Ausano celebrated winning the Hobby Stock main Saturday.

      Rattlesnake Raceway ended its 2015 season with it annual end of the season event. FALLON (Sept. 27) – One sign if fall is the annual Dirt Track Championships here.     Wild West Motorsport Park - Silver State Rock Crawling Championship

    Racing preview for this week and a new event on the menu. RENO – This week is another mix of different events, some local and others national. And this time there’s something new. Two events in our area are two-day affairs running on Saturday and Sunday. The new one is the Silver State Rock Crawling Championship held at the Wild West Motorsports Park.     Rattlesnake Raceway - David Ausano wins the Hobby Stock main.

    Rattlesnake Raceway ended the regular season with its champion’s night. FALLON (Sept. 12) – The point season ended for the track and division champions were recognized. And fans got to see a varied program that included cars, Outlaw Karts and Mad Metal Mud Drag Racing. After winning the Hobby Stock main, Dave Ausano was beside himself with joy.     Rattlesnake Raceway - Mad Metal mud drags are on tap this weekend.

    Racing preview for this week is a mix of local events, like oval track and desert racing plus a event for kids on bikes. And TV as well as what’s on the Internet is also covered. This week drivers at another short track are in their stretch run plus a desert series begins its fall season. Also on tap is a special event at a local motocross track and another special event for youngsters.   • DOUBLE POINTS AT RATTLESNAKE

    Double points always insure there will be plenty of action during the races. And the Hobby Stock division proved that saying correct. FALLON (July 8) – Double points were on the line at Rattlesnake Raceway this weekend and a large field of Hobby Stocks were on hand to race for those points. The IMCA field was small due to a two-day race south in Tonopah.     Exit 28 Ride Day to help a family

    The Racing Preview this week has local motocross riders riding to help a local family with medical costs. Racing preview this week begins with a charity event put on by Livfast Exit 28 motocross track. Local racer Tyler Moore has an infant nephew that has already gone through one heart operation.   And the baby needs another one so Saturday’s ride day will be a fundraiser for the family.     Rattlesnake Raceway had to change its 4th of July plans due to Mother Nature. FALLON (July 5) – Rattlesnake Raceway had a first this season, a weather delayed race. Mother Nature threw a wrench into the July 4th race and fireworks that was scheduled. Heavy rains Saturday caused the track, after checking with the drivers, to postpone the races until Sunday. But the fireworks were set off later in the evening. Sunday dawned bright, clear and it was going to be hot when everyone arrived.     Racing preview for this weekend has a mix of local and national events to see. Racing this week is a bit light locally but heavy on the TV and Internet side of things.   Things actually begin as Baldini’s Casino on Sparks is hosting its Freedom Festival.     Rattlesnake had a wild night of hard racing, blinding dust and crazy mud drag racing. FALLON (June 27) – Rattlesnake had more than an interesting evening on this day.          THIS WEEK’S RACING PREVIEW ISN’T AS FRANTIC AS THE LAST ONE. Although there is less racing going on in our region this weekend there are still some things for fans so see and attend.
