RENO, NV (July 13) — Due to receiving up dates after I usually post the preview I’m switching to posting them Thursday. Any Thursday happenings I’ll include in Monday’s article. CAR MEETS: • While this week’s is late I’ll include schedule for the Carson City Thursday Nite Cruisers. Only two more after this week. • Summit Racing, located on East Glendale in Sparks is having another Friday Night Cruise. Should be cooler and a good way to wind up the workweek. RENO, NV (July 6) — Another summer weekend ahead of us with car meets. a special show in Sparks as well as racing. And there is a bunch on TV as well. CAR MEETS: • Starting Thursday in the west parking lot of the Sparks Nugget is the13th annual Rockabilly Riot. There are a host of things happening at this event through Saturday. • Friday evening, starting at 6 p.m. is another Fernley Main Street Cruise. Goes from the Wigwam to the round about and back. • Saturday gets off to an early start as the Sumersett Summer Car show

RENO, NV (June 28) — Summer is here, heat has returned, the racing and car meet season is getting hotter. So this will be a slightly extended version of the normal preview. CAR MEETS: • As usual things begin with the Thursday Cruznite. RENO, NV (June 21) — Finally summer is here and racing I still hot. Looks to be good weather this weekend with several car shows, races as well as a lot on TV. CAR MEETS: • The Thursday Cruznite gets the weekend rolling with a nice ride up 395, over to 70 and ends at the Chilcoot Frosty & Goodwins General Store. Location is right beside the highway at the turn off to Frenchman’s Lake. • This year the annual Women With Wheelz has moved to the parking lot at Baldini’s Casino in Sparks. RENO, NV (June 14) — Finally a summer weekend without any rain. There are car meets, oval track and motorcycle racing in our region as well as events on TV. CAR MEETS: • The Thursday Cruznite to the Chilcoot Frosty & Goodwins General Store helps get the weekend rolling. Will be great weather for this cruise. • On Friday, starting at 8 p.m., the EVO Club has an EVO Meet & Dyno Tune Set Up. RENO, NV (June 7) — Another full weekend of car meets, shows as well as oval track, go-kart and drag racing. Hopefully the weather won’t be too big of an issue. CAR MEETS: • The Grand Sierra Resort is hosting the American Truck Historical Society National Convention & Truck Show. Runs from Thursday June 8 through the 10th. • Thursday afternoon is when the Thursday Cruznight  for ice cream happens. RENO, NV (May 31) — Another overflowing buffet of car meets, shows, regional racing was well as top line national and international racing on TV. CAR & MOTORCYCLE MEETS: • Weekend gets rolling when Thursday Night Cruisers get going. Start time is 5:30 p.m. but sadly the women writing the article did not mention the gathering point however it will be in Carson City. • Friday is when Street Vibrations Spring Rally begins. Runs through the weekend. Great time for Harley, Indian and other bikers. • Sunday begins at 10 a.m. with three car meets. -The Iron Mafia is hosting

RENO, NV (May 24) — This is probably the biggest racing weekend of the year. In addition there is racing as well as car meets in our region. The buffet table is overflowing and Mother Nature is going to bless us with good weather. CAR MEETS: • The weekend gets rolling as the first of 10 Thursday Cruznites gets going. It’s easy to get to as one goes north on 395 then turns west on Highway 70. The location is the Chilcoot Frosty & Goodwins General Store. There will be trophies and a nice way to start this long weekend.

RENO, NV (MAY 17) — Going to be a very warm weekend, one full of car meets, a cruise to Lake Tahoe as well as two oval tracks in action and a motocross. Not to be outdone, there are several events on TV as well as a major cancellation. CAR MEETS: • The biggest meet in this area is Hot August Nights Spring Fever Revival. Cars will be on display in the north parking lot, but a few will be in the Casino, and there is a sock hop every night. • On Friday and Saturday, from 7:30 until 11, there

RENO, NV (May 3) — It appears spring has really arrived, knock on wood. There are a bunch of events this weekend, both in our region as well as bunch on TV. CAR MEETS: • 775 Offroad and Recovery is having a 4X4 Show N’ Shine at Fuji Park in Carson City on Saturday. Show opens at 10 a.m. and it’s a family event with spectators getting in for free. • Reno Cars & Coffee gets the month started with a meet by the Keitzke Starbucks. Things get going around 10 a.m. Sunday and there is usually a pretty good

RENO, NV (April 26) — Another spring weekend ahead with a major event in this region plus one more oval track opening it season. There is also a bunch of racing on TV and the Internet. CAR MEETS: • Nevada Jeep Club is teaming up with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful to help clean up a couple of areas this Saturday. They need folks with 4X4 vehicles and it’s an 8 a.m. start time. RENO, NV (April 19) — Well it appears spring might be here as this weekend we’ll warm up. Great time for car meets, cruises, testing and oval track racing CAR MEETS: • On Sunday the USO Northern Nevada Car Club gets the weekend rolling with a show and shine to benefit the Agape Church School. Location is 903 Taylor Place in Fallon. Meet runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. • Sunday is when the Kernley Klazzic Kruizers have a cruise from Fernley to the Sonic Burger place in Fallon. RENO, NV (April 12) — Well it seems as though spring might be here, hope so anyway. Even if it isn’t, we have a weekend full of racing and things ahead of us. CAR MEETS: • Saturday gets rolling at 9 a.m. when Fallon Cars N’ Coffee has a meet. Location is the Alley Bar at 1555 South Taylor Street. • Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. by the Human Bean Coffee Stand, located by Moana and Keitzke Lanes there is another meet. RENO, NV (April 5) — Well here it is, Easter weekend and there is plenty of racing going.  We have races in our region as well as some on TV. CAR MEETS: • Only one on tap for this weekend as, starting at 10 a.m. Sparks Cars & Coffee is meeting close to the Starbucks off Disc Drive. Should be great weather so hope they get a good car count. • On Saturday there is the 2nd Annual Brett G Palmer Freedom Run.
