Although three pros were on hand to contest the 250/450 motos it came down to a two-rider duel between Dylan Galliett and Tony Evans. When their first moto began and after a short side-by-side duel through the first turn Galliett took the point with Evans in hot pursuit. Then Evans took the lead until the

  • ENDUROCROSS AT LIVESTOCK EVENTS CENTER

    EnduroCross

RENO, NV (Sept 23) – EnduroCross visited the Livestock Events Center here for round two of this year’s series. It’s one of the largest venues the series will race in and made for an action packed night. This type of racing is more like motorized Steeple Chase but with more obstacles and no water trap. There were logs to race across plus two rock gardens, as well as a tabletop filled with chopped up wood that would present a different path every time a rider crossed it. The longest race of the night was the Super EnduroCross main a 14-laps

  • CARSON CITY FLAT TRACK RACES

    Carson Flat Track

CARSON CITY, NV (Aug. 19) – For the second year in a row the Carson Flat Track races returned to the Fuji Park rodeo arena. And like last year the afternoon and evening shows were a blizzard of heats and main events. This year however there were a couple of challenges that had to be dealt with. One was with the arena’s sound system and while it was working next year it will be tweaked a bit. Mother Nature proved the biggest challenge as a downpour toward the end of the heat races left a very wet track. However the

  • BATTLE BORN MX: SPRING FINALE

    Battle Born MX

A bit under the weather on Monday so this was slightly delayed. FERNLEY (June 11) – The final round of the Battle Born MX spring series was highlighted with rain and wind. Despite this over 200 riders were on hand, some to just race while others were after points and maybe clinching a title. While the overall turnout might have been a bit higher some classes have very good turnouts. In fact the 125/250 Beginner gate had 26 at the gate for the first moto and 23 for the second. Another good sign for the future was the Pee Wee

  • BATTLE BORN MOTO FEST AT WILD WEST

    Battle Born Moto Fest

Mustang – The Battle Born Moto Fest returned to the Wild West Motorsports Park this weekend. Unlike last year it was a two-day affair with two very different events. While Freestyle MX was planned the winds were too great for that to happen. However the rest of the racing went on. On Sunday there was the Wild West Hard Enduro, a race that went for 90 minutes and the course was anything but easy. After starting on the main straight the riders went up the hill, down the ski jump and headed for the rocks, but unlike Ultra 4, they

  • GANG NATIONALS ROCK THE SANDBOX

    OTHG Nationals

FERNLEY (May 28) – A Memorial Day weekend tradition is the annual Over The Hill Gang National race at the Sandbox, or the Fernley-Wadsworth Lions Club Motocross Track. Riders from several Gang chapters make this journey for two days of racing, comradeship and a darned good BBQ at the end of Saturday’s competition. And once again the hosts was the local OTHG chapter. Scoring is kind of like golf as a rider’s finish in a moto gives them the number, which is added up after all four have been run. There are two motos each day. Looking over the final

On the second day Novice, Women, Bombers and Vintage bikes take their turn on the course.
