    RENO, NV (NOV. 14) – Racing preview for this week is out early due to the Thanksgiving holiday. One more major series will end its season and although things are quiet in our area there is still racing going on. Over the hill in Northern California there will be practice at three tracks although they are all closed for Thanksgiving, E Street MX Park has practice Wednesday from 1 until 5 p.m. then Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Not far away Riverfront MX has practice from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday.   • AWARDS BANQUET: NEVADA PRO STOCK ASSOCIATION

    FALLON, NV (Nov. 4) – The Nevada Pro Stock Association, NPSA, held its award banquet in the Fallon Elks Lodge on Saturday. The get together celebrated a fantastic season for the group and gave them chance to not only honor the 2017 champion but sponsors and tracks that have hosted the series. A buffet dinner started things rolling and there was something for just about everyone’s taste. And a raffle for prizes was also part of the evening.     FALLON, NV (Oct. 21) – Two tracks and a mud drag series combined their awards banquets this evening. Rattlesnake Raceway, Lovelock Speedway an the Dynamic Diesel Mud Drag Series were all present for a night of food and celebration not to mention honoring their champions. LARA president Chris Lumsden got things rolling by comments about the season and also indicating that the Northern Nevada Tracks were starting to work together.     FALLON (Oct.8) – Rattlesnake Raceway ended its formal season with the 31st annual Dirt Track Championships. It’s a two-day event where the cumulative finishes determines a driver’s final position and the title for their class. Sunday is the money day but got off to a slight late start so things were rolling just over an hour after they were schedule. Three big races were the highlighted the day.     LOVELOCK, NV (Aug. 5) – Lovelock Speedway helps this small rural Nevada town celebrate its founding every year. The festival is called Frontier Days and this is the 100th anniversary of the town’s founding. And this year the two-day show, known as the Frontier Days Races had its first visit by the Nevada Pro Stock Association.   • FERNLEY 95A SPEEDWAY HOSTS SPRINTS AND MIDGETS

    FERNLEY (July 29 – After being dark since last fall the Fernley 95A Speedway came alive this weekend. The event was round 10 of the Sprint Car Challenge, which usually races in the Northern California region. Not only did the event attract what may have been the largest crowd of fans to the track and 27 sprint car teams as well as five Midgets from the Bay Cities Racing Association (BCRA) were on hand.     QUINCY, CALIF (JULY 22) – The American Valley Speedway had a two-day show one week after the Pro Stocks visited. Saturday was a night of some hard racing, with more cars than usual and a wild IMCA feature. One reason was that Lovelock cancelled its race so several of those planning on racing there made the tow to Quincy and raced here.       STEAD (July 23) – Desert Park Raceway was alive this Sunday as the Northern Kart Club held its latest points.     QUINCY, CALIFORNIA (July 15) – American Valley Speedway hosted the second visit this season of the Nevada Pro Stock Association (NPSA).
