    RENO (June 22) – This week’s Racing Preview is a bit unusual but still full of events as well as listings for both TV and what will be streamed over the Internet. First off there are two local events this weekend. On Saturday, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the National Auto Museum is the Reno Women with Wheels car show, which is hosted by Teresa’s Garage Radio Show.     After a quick blast of winter like weather last weekend this week’s Racing Preview will have events running in more summer like conditions. RENO (June 15) —The big even for this weekend is the annual Corey Herring Memorial European Scrambles at the Honey Lake MX track. This also ends MRANN’s spring series with the fall series beginning in September. On Saturday, starting at 9:30 a.m. the Pee Wees followed by the Mini Bikes, V Women and Team races take to the track.     Racing began a day earlier this week and there was a bunch of hard racing to get the weekend started. Lovelock, NV (June 9) – The second round for the Lovelock Speedway was on Friday and it was the first of a three-race series held on three different tracks.   • AMERICAN VALLEY SPEEDWAY: NPSA FIRST VISIT

    This weekend there was a special first time visitor to a track in our region.   QUINCY, CALIF. (June 3) – American Valley Speedway entertained their first visit by the Nevada Pro Stock Association (NPSA). For the pro stocks it was the Steven “Pops,” Rauscher Memorial race.     RENO (May 31) —Racing preview this week picks up after last weekend’s marathon. And the beat goes on as there are two very different major races in our region as well as the regular events. The closest is Battle Born Moto Festival at the Wild West Motorsports Park. Gates should open at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Last year it was just a hill climb but this year there will be a whip contest as well as jumping by LivFast.   • LOVELOCK SPEEDWAY OPENS 2017 SEASON

    LOVELOCK, NV (May 26) – After being rained out two weeks ago Lovelock Speedway finally got its season going. Unlike the earlier date the car count was pretty slim but the track when ahead and opened its 2017 season. After the dust settled on the IMCA main winner K.C.     QUINCY, CALIF. (May 20) – Wonderful late spring weather greeted the racers at American Valley Speedway this Armed Forces Day.   • RACING PREVIEW: MAY 11 TO 14

    Another varied Racing Preview for this weekend with several events, live as well as broadcast on TV or streamed over the Internet. Friday and Saturday is a busy time as Nor Cal Rock Racing, which runs the VORRA series brings the Metal Cloak Shoot Out to the Wild West Motorsports Park. Racing is on Saturday and, like last year, there should be some Ultra 4 entries to round out the field. Saturday is also busy with several live events. To the east Rattlesnake Raceway is in action with a 6 p.m. start to racing that also includes the Outlaw Karts.

    The weekend began with some great racing, that is before Mother Nature threw a wet blanket over it. QUINCY (May 5) – American Valley Speedway hosted the field of 75 Dwarf Cars this weekend. The event was the Western States Dwarf Car Association National Memorial Race. Besides being a National the race honored the memory of two drivers, Dave Richardson and Leroy Kay, who perished in wrecks a few years ago. Before racing began the field lined up, and made a slow four-wide to salute their fallen comrades. Three divisions, Pros, Veterans and Sportsmen were on tap as well as

    The second race at Rattlesnake was quite an exciting night for all, especially for some drivers. Most of the photographs are at the end of the article after the results. FALLON (April 15) – Rattlesnake Raceway hosted its traditional Easter Saturday races this weekend. The pits were packed with around 87 cars including Sprints, Dwarf Cars and the Nevada Pro Stock Association. Before racing started the Pro Stock field made its way to the front straight.     SAGE, CALIFORNIA (April 9) – MRANN’s fourth round of their season was the 2017 Diamond Back Hare Scrambles. Staged by the Lassen M/C it was the 50th anniversary of the event that began in 1967 as an enduro race. The event was run at the Ft. Sage OHV area east of Doyle, California. It’s up against a mountain range and the final drop down to the pits is called “The Widowmaker.” Starting at 4,000 feet this very steep drop is one that even the fastest rider rode with care.     Racing preview for this week has three two-day events in our region plus events across the country and overseas. Just about any race fan can find something they will like. First and foremost, Lovelock Speedway has canceled its opening night schedule for this Saturday. The reason is that Winnemucca Regional Raceway is starting their season with a double header.     Indoor motocross returns after several years and puts on three days of racing. RENO (March 24/25) – After an absence of three years the Amsoil Arenacross returned to the Reno Livestock Center this weekend. Even after all this time this is the largest venue on the circuit as they mainly race in Hockey size arenas. The major class, the AX 250 had a tight points race going into the two-day show with Jace Owen and Gavin Faith being tied with the advantage going to the latter. Both shows were going to slightly shake up the run for the chanpionship .
