One more week in the “rerun zone,” but fear not racing begins this weekend. Racing Preview for this week is again thin but that’s going to change this weekend. With New Year comes racing as the thunder returns. Locally Livfast Exit 28 Motocross track will probably be having practice sessions from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. When this was written there was no confirmation so one needs to check first. For those racing in the Bishop Winter Series there are practice sessions on Saturday. Usually at 8 a.m. is when the gates open followed by track time.

Time to look back at this year’s oval track season as we get ready for the New Year and the 2017 season. The Oval Track Season Review highlights months of hard racing for championships. It was a season that saw a new series, a class coming back from near extinction, one track being brought back to life and maybe the departure of another. It certainly wasn’t a dull year.
