RACING PREVIEW: DEC. 22 TO 25

Another slow week for race fans but fear not the action will begin shortly.

Racing Preview this week is deep in the “Rerun Zone.” Most everyone is taking the Christmas weekend off but there’s still a bunch to see.

Locally, I’m not sure if Livfast Exit 28 will be open this weekend. If they are practice will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Best to check their Facebook page to find out.

Over on TV and on the Internet there are more than a few things to watch.

On Thursday MAVTV is carrying the load and some of the afternoon shows, beginning at noon are an Indiana Sprint Car event, then at 12:30 Super Cup Stock Car Racing series and at 6 p.m. Lucas Oil Models followed by Dirtcar UMP Modifieds and ending with racing from Madera Speedway.

Friday is a good day for the Internet, if you’re not last minute shopping.

There are a bunch of videos to see on www.fanschoice.tv while www.racer.tv will have updates and they are repeated on www.youtube.com at The Racer Channel.

If you’re an Indy Car or NASCAR fan, or even Formula 1 there are a bunch of events to seen on You Tube. And you might also check for other series as well.

Once again MAVTV gets Saturday going with a bunch of programs. Starting at 3 p.m. they’ll show AMA Pro Flat Track racing from Daytona followed at 4 p.m. by the Lucas Oil ASCA sprint cars.

Then at 5 p.m. there is a program at the National Corvette Museum before the 6 p.m. show with Lucas Oil Drag Boats and at 10 p.m. they have the FIA World Rally Championship round from Spain.

On Sunday NBC Sports has a marathon for you auction fans. Starting at 10:30 a.m. they be showing Mecum Auto Auctions selling muscle cars and more.

That’s it for this weekend. One more week and racing begins in the New Year.

Until then we here at NVRACINGNEWS want to wish all our readers a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a Joyful Kwanzaa. Be safe and have a great day.
