    Fallon, NV (Aug. 12) – As the summer rolls one Rattlesnake Raceway keeps working through its season. This race however had a special occasion before the mains got going. After the 250/500 Outlaw Kart main won by Jacob Dias driving a 500cc machine after he finally got past second place 250cc driver Ollie Gibbins. Then Dan Dias and Angela Johnson got married on the front straight with announcer Davey Munoz doing the honors.       QUINCY, CALIF. (Aug. 13) – American Valley Speedway ends the Plumas County Fair with a traditional race on Sunday night.     RENO (August 10) – Hot August Nights is a high of summer here and celebrates a time gone by, one known for both its music and cars. It draws people to the Reno/Sparks area from several states. The celebration kicks of on the Comstock at Virginia City where there is a huge show n’ shine for two days then it moves down to the Bonanza Casino for their traditional kick off show.     RENO (Aug. 9) – Another busy week for race fans and in fact fans of classic cars as its Hot August Nights here in the Reno/Sparks area. And of course there is plenty on TV to watch as well.     LOVELOCK, NV (Aug. 5) – Lovelock Speedway helps this small rural Nevada town celebrate its founding every year. The festival is called Frontier Days and this is the 100th anniversary of the town’s founding. And this year the two-day show, known as the Frontier Days Races had its first visit by the Nevada Pro Stock Association.     STEAD (Aug.7) – Desert Park Raceway echoed with the sounds of racing Sunday as the Northern Nevada Kart Club held a make up race for one that was rained out. While there no shifter karts were on hand, those that competed put on a good show and there were two surprise winners. When the Junior 2 field got the green flag the trio of Chase Dulude, Issac Bourque and Bryce Berry took off. After the first lap they turned their main into a three-way fight for the lead.   • FERNLEY 95A SPEEDWAY HOSTS SPRINTS AND MIDGETS

    FERNLEY (July 29 – After being dark since last fall the Fernley 95A Speedway came alive this weekend. The event was round 10 of the Sprint Car Challenge, which usually races in the Northern California region. Not only did the event attract what may have been the largest crowd of fans to the track and 27 sprint car teams as well as five Midgets from the Bay Cities Racing Association (BCRA) were on hand.     QUINCY, CALIF (JULY 22) – The American Valley Speedway had a two-day show one week after the Pro Stocks visited. Saturday was a night of some hard racing, with more cars than usual and a wild IMCA feature. One reason was that Lovelock cancelled its race so several of those planning on racing there made the tow to Quincy and raced here.       STEAD (July 23) – Desert Park Raceway was alive this Sunday as the Northern Kart Club held its latest points. Although attendance was down a bit those present put on some good races and there was even a special race between two different shifter karts.     QUINCY, CALIFORNIA (July 15) – American Valley Speedway hosted the second visit this season of the Nevada Pro Stock Association (NPSA). These speedsters rounded out a show that included all four of the regular classes. While the Pro Stocks were the stars of the show it was the IMCA Modifieds that put on the race of the night.     RENO (July 13) – Racing Preview for this weekend is another buffet of varied treats for racing fans.
