    RENO, NV (NOV. 14) – Racing preview for this week is out early due to the Thanksgiving holiday. One more major series will end its season and although things are quiet in our area there is still racing going on. Over the hill in Northern California there will be practice at three tracks although they are all closed for Thanksgiving, E Street MX Park has practice Wednesday from 1 until 5 p.m. then Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Not far away Riverfront MX has practice from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday.   • CARSON RACEWAY: INDOOR KARTING FUN

    RENO (Nov. 20) – Carson Raceway is the newest indoor karting track in the region. Jamy Keshmiri owns this track as well as the area’s Ben’s Fine Wines and Spirits stores. His involvement came in an unusual way. “What happen was that I bought the building, it’s funny the mortgage is the same as the rent for my old place,” he said. “So I thought, why not just buy the building, instead of just paying rent I can own it.     RENO, NV (Nov. 15) – Racing preview this weekend has another major series ending its season. Even though there is no racing in our area there are four different races going on this weekend in California, Southern Nevada and Baja, Mexico.     FERNLEY (NOV. 12.) – BATTL BORN MX fall series ended today with great weather and some hard racing. Hosting the event was the Reno Chapter of the Old Timers and there were 206 riders on hand that signed up for 309 racing slots. Although this is happening in other areas there is still one more race in this region as well as a series over in California.     FALLON, NV (Nov. 4) – The Nevada Pro Stock Association, NPSA, held its award banquet in the Fallon Elks Lodge on Saturday. The get together celebrated a fantastic season for the group and gave them chance to not only honor the 2017 champion but sponsors and tracks that have hosted the series.   • DIRT SQUIRTS TAKE MRANN TO BOTTLE CREEK

    BOTTLE CREEK, NV (Oct 29) – Mason Valley Dirt Squirts once again ended MRANN’s season at Bottle Creek. The Hare Scrambles event was called the Silver State Howl-A-Wheelie. The site is about 40-miles north of Imlay or 30 miles northwest of Winnemucca and is reached by good dirt roads.     FALLON, NV (Oct. 21) – Two tracks and a mud drag series combined their awards banquets this evening. Rattlesnake Raceway, Lovelock Speedway an the Dynamic Diesel Mud Drag Series were all present for a night of food and celebration not to mention honoring their champions.     RENO, NV (OCT. 18) – This week’s racing preview highlights the biggest event in our area, one that has some insane action. In addition there is still racing on TV Land even though the season is winding down. The main action will be the 4 Wheel Parts Nitto Nationals that ends the Ultra 4 season at Wild West Motorsports Park.     PURGATORY PEAK, NV (Oct. 15) – The Tankslappers Motorcycle Club hosted round 7 of this year’s MRANN series of desert races. The area was close to Purgatory Peak located east of the north end of Winnemucca Dry Lake.     FALLON (Oct.8) – Rattlesnake Raceway ended its formal season with the 31st annual Dirt Track Championships. It’s a two-day event where the cumulative finishes determines a driver’s final position and the title for their class. Sunday is the money day but got off to a slight late start so things were rolling just over an hour after they were schedule. Three big races were the highlighted the day.
