    RENO, NV (March 24, 2024) — This May the Stadium Grand Prix will be held at the outdoor arena, the same venue the Reno Rodeo uses. It’s a partnership between two long time friends.   • RENO-FERNLEY RACEWAY IS RENEWED

    Reno-Fernley Raceway has been divided between two owners for years. One had the clay oval, UTV and motocross track while the other owned the road course. Now it’s unified under the new owner Dan Shore, who has some big plans for the facility, which includes some of the hills. “I bought the road course roughly May 1918,” Shore said. “I originally had purchase conversations with the pervious owner Dan Simpson about a year after that.   • PREVIEW LOOK AT THE 2024 SEASON

That means our annual journey into the Re-Run Zone will start to end but there are still car meets and practice sessions for motocross riders. CAR MEETS: • There are a trio of car meets this weekend.   • TOY RUN SUNDAY AND SANDBOX RACES

    RENO, NV (Dec. 3) — This Sunday three groups come together to help youngsters in our community. To the east the newly restored Sandbox MX track held its first motocross Saturday. The biggest event Sunday was the 43rd annual Reno Toy Run was held and bike clubs of all kinds met at Reno Harley Davidson. This annual event is staged by the Northern Nevada Confederation of Clubs.     RENO, NV (Nov. 1) — Big time change this weekend as well as car meets and motocross events over the hill. In addition NASCAR has its championship weekend.   • NEW NORTHERN NEVADA SPRINT CAR SERIES

    Over the past few years sprint car racing in Northern Nevada has been an up and down affair.
