  • FUJI PARK FLAT TRACK RACES

    CARSON CITY, NV (Aug.24) – This weekend Fuji Park Flat Track races returned for two days of wild racing inside the rodeo arena. As is traditional with this event before the pros started the evening program a color guard from the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare center marched onto the front straight. Then as the colors were presented the National Anthem was sung and the night could go on. The evening Saturday show ends with the big race the Open Pro Singles.   • DESERT PARK RACEWAY HOSTS FINAL KPX ROUND

    STEAD, NV (Aug 25) – On a hot August day Northern Nevada Kart Club (NNKC) hosted the final round of this year’s KPX series. With many visitors on hand it was a day of hot racing in the late summer heat. After qualifying the drivers all race a pre-event that’s just like a heat race. Their grid positions in the main are determined by how they finished. First up are the youngest drivers in the Kid Kart division.     RENO, NV (Aug 21) – As summer winds down Racing Preview for this weekend has two major events in out region as well as other car or racing related events.     FERNLEY, NV (AUG. 17) – On this summer night the Fernley 95A Speedway hosted a full night of racing. Four divisions were on hand as the Pro stocks were racing round 4 of their Tri-State Challenge. The smallest group, the Sport Mods actually put on the race of the night.     FALLON, NV (Aug. 10) – Nice mild weather greeted fans and racers at Rattlesnake Raceway this weekend. Despite a low car count the racers present put on a good show.     LOVELOCK, NV (Aug. 3) – Every year this small rural Nevada town celebrates its founding with Frontier Days, which is a festival by the court house and a parade on Saturday. The town’s track, Lovelock Speedway joins celebration with the two-day Frontier Day Races. The result is usually the largest car count of the season as well as the largest amount of fans in the stands.
