RENO, NV (August 3) — One of the happiest events in the Reno Sparks area is the annual Hot August Nights. It’s a ten-day celebration that brings people to this area, not to mention a huge economic boost to the region. Hot August Nights reported registrations were sold out at 5,500 cars were registered. RENO, NV (May 18) – Today and tomorrow Virginia Street in downtown Reno is the site of the annual Hot August Night’s Sprint Revival. It’s a preview of this year’s festival that celebrates Cars and music. Teresa’s Garage Radio Show was represented by her 1950’s vintage Chevy.  In the front there were free stickers that advertised the radio show. RENO (August 10) – Hot August Nights is a high of summer here and celebrates a time gone by, one known for both its music and cars. It draws people to the Reno/Sparks area from several states. The celebration kicks of on the Comstock at Virginia City where there is a huge show n’ shine for two days then it moves down to the Bonanza Casino for their traditional kick off show. This is a happy week for many here in Northwest Nevada as it’s time to celebrate and create memories. Some of the sights are in a photo gallery at the end of this article. It celebrates America’s love of automobiles and Rock and Roll especially the 1950’s into the 1970’s era. For an entire week the towns are full of poodle skirts, rock n’ roll bands, poker runs and walks as well as more cars from that era than most people can count.
