    SPARKS, NV (March 10) — Daylight Savings time began with Sparks Cars & Coffee having its first meet of the month. As usual variety was the theme as owners brought their cars and trucks to show and be admired. One combination was a BMW sedan parked by a Ford 150 4X4. It made for quite a contrast. Another pair, with a James Bond connection, was a Corvette parked next to an Aston Martin. One a domestic exotic while the other was an international exotic.     RENO, NV (March 3) — Two car meets happened Sunday, one had a modest turn out while the other was a non-event due to the weather. As a result this will be a shorter than normal article. Weather was a factor with two meets this Sunday. One was Reno Jeeps & Coffee that met by the Human Bean Stand at the corner of South McCarran and Longely Lane.     SPARKS, NV (Feb. 25) — Great spring like weather set the stage for this month’s second Sparks Cars & Coffee meet. The turn out was great and there some different types of vehicles present. One of them was the Back to the Future Delorean. It’s fully tricked out and makes quite a scene when its owner drives it on the street.     SPARKS, NV (Dec.24) — Despite the cold morning several cars showed up at the Sunday meet hosted by Sparks Cars & Coffee. As usual there was quite a mix of  of cars plus a van.   • CAR MEET & TOY DRIVE WEEKEND

    RENO, NV (Dec. 17) — This weekend there were two car meets in Reno. One was an annual event and toy drive while the other was the second-in-the-month with Reno Cars & Coffee. • Saturday began with the third annual Cars & Boba annual Toy Drive. The event benefits the Women and Children Center of the Sierra. This year’s event was blessed with great weather and the turn out reflected that.   • TOY RUN SUNDAY AND SANDBOX RACES

    RENO, NV (Dec. 3) — This Sunday three groups come together to help youngsters in our community. To the east the newly restored Sandbox MX track held its first motocross Saturday. The biggest event Sunday was the 43rd annual Reno Toy Run was held and bike clubs of all kinds met at Reno Harley Davidson. This annual event is staged by the Northern Nevada Confederation of Clubs.     RENO, NV (July 16) — On the hottest day of the year Reno Cars & Coffee had its second meet of the month. Fortunately it began at 10 a.m. so it wasn’t that hot although the turn out was less than normal. There were also a few motorcycles. One black Harley was parked next to a black Corvette.     RENO, NV (July 2) – Reno Cars & Coffee had its first weekend of the month meet on Sunday. Weather was great although getting warmer. In the mix was a Triumph Bug Eye Spitfire. This one sported Texas Classic Car license plates. Not far from them was a restored/altered Model A Ford Pickup. The pickup is owned by Michael Babcock, whose business is North Tahoe Classic Cars.     RENO, NV (March 5) — With the recent snowfall the Reno Cars & Coffee meet was one for those with 4X4’s. As expected, many of the regulars didn’t want to drive on the slick pavement. However despite the snow and slick streets, four showed up, including Lance Freitas in his red Jeep. One couple came drove a large Suburban while another couple came in a 4X4 pickup.     RENO, NV (Jan 1) — While a New Year’s storm made traveling a challenge for one new club it was the doctor ordered.
