RENO, NV (May 31) — The month of May ended with two major car shows. Setting the stage was great weather. • Saturday was when the Reno Mustang Car Club held it’s Ford car show at Rancharrah. Walking in from the parking lot folks were greeted by a row of Mustangs parked across from the Mansion. Since it was an all-Ford show there were many types including an early model Ford Ranchero. RENO, NV (May 24) — Big weekend with one of the largest car shows of the year. Helping the turn outs was great weather. • The Reno Bike Community got the weekend started with their Friday evening ride. The turn out was lighter than normal probably due to the start of the holiday weekend. • The biggest event of the weekend was the annual Summer Salute presented by the Nevada Car Coalition. RENO, NV (May 10) — There were several car meets plus a block party on this weekend. All the events were blessed with almost summer like weather. • Friday started the two-day Hot August Nights Spring Fever.  Everything was in the Casino’s west parking lot. There was a long row of vendors selling about anything people might want. That included HAN t-shirts and other things as well. RENO, NV (MAY 4) – This past weekend had several meets, a motorcycle cruise as well as a swap meet plus at least one track having a race. There was something for about everyone. • On Friday the Reno Bike Community hosted another of its Friday evening rides. The meeting site was the Maverik’s station on the corner of Sutro Street and North McCarran. The group welcomes everyone and there are several women riders that join the Friday night functions. It was the same for the meets and a cruise in other areas. • Over in Sparks on Saturday there was the Caffeine & Gasoline meet sponsored by Shifted Performance and the Goodnuffstuff Car Club. SPARKS, NV (March 22) — The second meet of the month was highlighted by wonderful weather.  As a result there was a huge amount of cars, trucks, a few motorcycles and many fans. Square Bodies, which are mostly pick-up trucks filled an entire row. These were made by Chevrolet years ago. While not a square body, over on row was this beautiful Chevy Pick Up truck. Keeping with the vintage style even had white sidewall tires. Even the motor was stock and cleaned up in this truck. A bit newer was a Plymouth Duster. Like others it was all shined

RENO, NV (March 15) — Great spring weather highlighted Reno Cars & Coffee’s second meet of the month.  There were many cars and trucks not to mention folks looking and admiring the vehicles on display. Great weather set the stage for both events. • Need2Speed is going to start having a Karts & Kars meet on the first Saturday of the month. Not only was the parking lot full but the area in front of the business as well as the patio was used. One of the cars on the patio was this beautiful Lotus. RENO, NV (March 1) — As we say hello to a new month we also say good-bye to a local shop and hello to a pair of meets on Sunday. For the VW community Fibercraft has been one of the places to go for repairs, fabrication, supplies and off-road things. Saturday the shop closed with a Good-Bye BBQ. Asked about the closing owner Adam Dimick said, “I’ve been working here for the last nine years and we purchased it about five years ago.” Then he explained his reason for closing the business. “It’s hard to compete on the online parts
