    RENO, NV (April 26) — Another spring weekend ahead with a major event in this region plus one more oval track opening it season. There is also a bunch of racing on TV and the Internet. CAR MEETS: • Nevada Jeep Club is teaming up with Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful to help clean up a couple of areas this Saturday. They need folks with 4X4 vehicles and it’s an 8 a.m. start time. Great time for car meets, cruises, testing and oval track racing CAR MEETS: • On Sunday the USO Northern Nevada Car Club gets the weekend rolling with a show and shine to benefit the Agape Church School.   • OLD TIMER NATIONALS AT FERNLEY 95A MX

    FERNLEY, NV (April16) — The two-day Old Timer Nationals visited the Fernley 95A Motorsports Complex this weekend. Two days of motocross action with the final two motos on Sunday after the three on Saturday. Other than the wind the weather was almost perfect for racing on Sunday. There were six motos for the various classes plus two support races that also combined classes. First gate drop sent two 60 plus classes onto the track.   • LOVELOCK SPEEDWAY REOPENS

    LOVELOCK, NV (April 15) — After being dark for over a year Lovelock Speedway came back to life this weekend. The event was the Berta Graham Memorial sponsored by the Evenson Law Office. Graham was a long time supporter of the track and Evenson, a local resident, used to race there. Prior to the heat races several competitors did parade laps to honor her memory.     RENO, NV (April 12) — Well it seems as though spring might be here, hope so anyway. Even if it isn’t, we have a weekend full of racing and things ahead of us. CAR MEETS: • Saturday gets rolling at 9 a.m. when Fallon Cars N’ Coffee has a meet.   • DIAMOND MOUNTAIN SPEEDWAY OPENS SEASON

    RENO, NV (4-10-23) — On Easter weekend Diamond Mountain Speedway opened its 2023 season. It was a Friday-Saturday event for the track. As traditional once Saturday’s heat races ended it was time for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Youngsters were divided by size and after a countdown the rush was on. Some of the very young were a bit confused as what they were supposed to while older ones were on the hunt. Once that was taken care of there were two dashes where the winners would win $100.   • MRANN RABBIT RAMPAGE ON EASTER

    LOVELOCK, NV (April 9) — The Mason Valley Dirt Squirts celebrated Easter with the Rabbit Rampage. The two-day event was located at the Lovelock Speedway. As usual the new Big Bike Pro (AA) class led the charge on Sunday. For a rider to be classed as a finisher they had to complete one full 50-mile lap although many others did the full two laps.     RENO, NV (April 5) — Well here it is, Easter weekend and there is plenty of racing going.  We have races in our region as well as some on TV.   • AL LOCKETT OFF-ROAD EXPO + RENO CARS & COFFEE

    RENO, NV (April 2) — After weeks of unsettled weather Mother Nature gave Northern Nevada a break. Just in time for the annual Al Lockett’s RV, Home and Garden Show, which included the Off-Road Motorsports Expo in the same hall. In the Expo area there were several booths and one of them was for the Off-Road Motosports Hall of Fame.
