  • MRANN: 95 MOTOR SPORTS GRAND PRIX

    FERNLEY, NV (Sept. 27) – The Mason Valley Dirt Squirts hosted the latest round of the MRANN series at a very different venue. This time it was at the 95 Motor Sports Complex and the course combined some of the motocross track, parts of the oval’s pits and an off road course south of the oval. The result was a very challenging course made a bit more difficult by the dust and terrain.     RENO, NV (Sept.23) – Racing preview this week is a mixed bag of local car meets, cruises and racing not to mention a full menu on TV and the Internet.   • 95 MOTOR SPORTS COMPLEX: PRO STOCKS SHINE

    FERNLEY, NV (Sept 19) – The 95 Motor Sports Complex hosted a race that featureD  pro stocks as well as its regular classes. It was a night full of racing with some close finishes.   • DESERT PARK RACEWAY: NNKC ROUND#5

    STEAD, NV (Sept 20) – Due to the Air Races being canceled this year the Northern Nevada Kart Club was able to squeeze in an extra race. This helped make up the events lost due to the shut down earlier this season. Nice weather and almost no smoke made for great racing weather. The day was bookended with two pretty good races with several in the middle.   • TOP GUN DRAG STRIP: SEASON ENDING WEEKEND

    FALLON, NV (Sept 13) – Top Gun Drag Strip ended it’s shortened 2020 season this weekend. It was a busy two days with additional races Saturday night and one on Sunday. Two oil downs helpd up the show for a couple of hours Saturday but before and after those the rounds continued to roll. Finally it was time for the finals. One additional race was the MOPAR vs The World contest. The winner’s prize was $1,000 and every time there was a round a MOPAR lined up against another car.   • COREY HERRING MEMORIAL RACE

    MILFORD, CALIF.(Sept13) — In a normal year the Corey Herring Memorial would end MRANN’s spring season. However 2020 has been anything but normal so this time the race started the extended fall season. The race not only honors Herring who was lost during a race but helps fund a scholarship in his name. The scholarships go to help young MRANN riders that are headed to college. After several months of not being able to race those that compete in MRANN (Motorcycle Racing Association of Northern Nevada) turned out in force for the 11th Annual Corey Herring Memorial at the Honey

  • DESERT PARK RACEWAY: NNKC – ROUND 4

    STEAD, NV (Sept 6 ) – The Northern Nevada Kart Club hosted round 4 of its 2020 season at Desert Park Raceway, the club’s home track. Despite some smoke the turn out was pretty good and fortunately the day wasn’t as hot as expected. As usual the mains began with Kid Kart feature.
