  • MRANN 2023 AWARDS BANQUET

    RENO, NV (Jan. 6, 2024) — On a cold and snowy night MRANN held its 2023 Awards Banquet west of Reno at Boomtown Casino Resort. This time the banquet was divided in half. Things started with the Saturday racers that included the youngest racers as well as Saturday Women, Mini bikes, Bombers and Pee Wees, which are the youngest riders.   • LOVELOCK AWARDS & SANDBOX REOPENS

    RENO, NV (Nov. 12) — Lovelock Speedway held its banquet and awards ceremony this Saturday. Over in Fernley on Saturday and Sunday the motocross track known as the Sandbox held its first official practice sessions. • LOVELOCK AWARDS: There was hardware to handout to the top three in six classes that raced at the track. The track had its first full season after being dark for the past couple of years. In addition to the trophies there were jackets for the class champions.   • RATTLESNAKE RACEWAY AWARDS BANQUET

    FALLON, NV (Nov. 4) — The annual awards banquet for Rattlesnake Raceway was held at the Eagles hall. Most of the racers and their family members showed up. After a nice banquet it was time to start celebrating the champions, top points earners and rookie of the year. First up were the Mini Stocks. Unfortunately the 2023 champion Kent Knisley was unable to be there. At season’s end Knisley had 770 points while second place Cooper Lee had 746 points.   • OTHG RENO HOST AWARDS BANQUET

    RENO, NV (Feb 4) — The Reno chapter of the Over The Hill Gang (OTHG) held its award banquet this weekend. Due to a supply hold up certificates were handed out rather than trophies, which will be given out later. During the night there were bags of swag and everyone got at least two of them during the raffles. Before things got started OTHG president Dan Martin had some comments.   • MRANN AWARDS CEREMONY AND BANQUET

    RENO (Jan. 28) — The desert racers that compete in the MRANN series assembled for their yearly banquet and awards ceremony this weekend. For many it was a time to reflect on the season past, maybe get a trophy, a new number and mentally start preparing for the 2023 season that begins in February. This would be the final time that Ricky Dahlberg was acting as MRANN’s president.   • BATTLE BORN MX AWARDS BANQUET

    RENO, NV (Jan. 22) — On Saturday those that race with Battle Mountain MX, or BBMX as it’s known assembled at Boomtown. The occasion was the annual awards ceremony and banquet.     SPARKS, NV (Jan. 8) — Most of MRANN gathered at the Sparks Nugget for the annual awards banquet where champions were honored.     FALLON, NV (Oct. 16) — Not that the racing season is over it’s is time to honor the class champions and volunteers.   • TOP GUN AWARDS BANQUET

    FERNLEY,NV (Feb. 1) – Officials, drivers and family members from the Top Gun Dragstrip gathered to celebrate the 2019 season on Saturday. The function was at the Fernley Senior Center and began a very nice potluck dinner. Once that was over John Stauverman, track president and race director, introduced the new track announcer, Davey Boy Munoz.     SPARKS, NV (Jan 25) – The Over The Hill Gang (OTHG) held it’s annual awards banquet at Pinocchio’s in Sparks. It was a night honoring the top points winners, celebrating class championships in the national series as well as enjoying a great raffle.     VERDI, NV (Dec. 11) – The Boomtown Casino and Hotel was the site of the BBMX this year’s awards banquet. Area motocross racers assembled for a nice buffet style dinner, receive trophies and maybe score in a raffle for those that competed last season.
