RENO, NC (Aug. 6) — Yep it’s hot this week but there are to major events going on as well as other things as well. • Hot August Nights is celebrating its 40th anniversary with cruises, cars on display and entertainment. This has become our area’s largest tourist event. The full schedule can be found at www.hotaugustnights.net. • The GSR is also holding alternative event, Street Heat from Wednesday through Saturday. RENO, NV (July 29) — Well here we are at the end of  July and we’re heading into a Hot August.  Folks that live in this region will know what that means. CAR MEETS: • Thursday has a trio of things happening: • Friday is a busy day with several events. • Saturday starts early as Cason Cars & Coffee gets going at 9:30 a.m. This time they’ll meet at Bully’s Sports Bar. Location is 3530 North Carson Street.  + There is also voting for cars during this event. In addition there are Memorial Merchandise items in the gift shop

RENO, NV (July 23)— Summer is here and we’re almost to August. However the final weekend of July is chock full of car events plus some cruises. CAR MEETS: • Thursday has three events. • Friday evening features two cruises and a car meet. – Carson Cars & Coffee meets at 6:30 by the Dutch Bros coffee stand near the Carson Mall. • Saturday is a marathon with many things to choose from. • Sunday is an easy day with only three events. RENO, NV (July 15) — Another full weekend ahead of with car meets, oval track racing as well as a whole bunch on TV.  Summer is here. CAR MEETS:• This week there are five things going on Thursday. – Thursday is when Simerson Events has Mayhem Nation at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for three evenings of mayhem. – For the biker crowd, Pinocchio’s Bar and Grill starts Thursday Night Thunder. It benefits Mom’s on the Run, starts at 6 p.m. and the location is 5995 South Virginia Street in Reno. • Friday has four events

RENO, NV (July 8) — Summer’s heat is finally here. The car meets and racing basket is full and there is a lot to see this weekend. CAR MEETS: • This Thursday there are three car events: • Friday has five events although one of them combines with the last one. + For the early birds, there is a pancake breakfast from 7 until 11 a.m. at the Carson Lodge. RENO, NV (July 1) — Here we are looking at the 4th of July weekend. There are car meets, motorcycle rides and racing galore, not to mention what is on TV.
