    FERNLEY, NEVADA (March 17) — This past year the Reno-Fernley Raceway changed hands. Owner Dan Shore now has selected a manager, who was the very first one when the complex was built 25 years ago. Asked about that manager Dave Asher said, “I met Mr. Cable and interviewed for the job and he said, ‘you got it.’ I had done a couple of other motorsports promotions before that.   • SPARKS CARS & COFFEE WELCOMES DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME

    SPARKS, NV (March 10) — Daylight Savings time began with Sparks Cars & Coffee having its first meet of the month. As usual variety was the theme as owners brought their cars and trucks to show and be admired. One combination was a BMW sedan parked by a Ford 150 4X4. It made for quite a contrast.     RENO, NV (March 3) — Two car meets happened Sunday, one had a modest turn out while the other was a non-event due to the weather. As a result this will be a shorter than normal article.     SPARKS, NV (Feb. 25) — Great spring like weather set the stage for this month’s second Sparks Cars & Coffee meet. The turn out was great and there some different types of vehicles present.   • TRAILBLAZERS MC HOSTS MRANN RACE

    NIGHTINGALE, NV (Feb. 18)— Trailblazers MC hosted round 2 of the 2024 MRANN season. This time Mother Nature blessed Sunday with great weather. The event was the Ridge Runner 100, which was the 26th Annual Hare & Hound.  Unlike previous years and due to the recent weather the race made two laps around the same 46-mile course.   • AMA ARENACROSS SERIES ROARS INTO RENO

    RENO, NV (Feb. 11) — The AMA Arenacross series visited the Reno Livestock Events Center this weekend. Pros raced Friday and Saturday then Sunday was a blur of amateur motocross racing. Round 10 of the series was Saturday night and like Friday it was a series of Heat Races, Semi Mains plus two LCQ to make up the final AX Pro field.   • HIGH DESERT HUSTLE AT THE RENO LEC

    RENO, NV (Feb. 3) — The first High Desert Hustle was in Reno this week. Outlaw Kart racers converged on the Reno Livestock Events Center for three days of qualifying, heat races and the money races on Saturday. There were some races on Thursday but Friday was the day for heats. With 300 entries those sorted everyone into the various mains they were going to compete in.   • RENO-FERNLEY RACEWAY IS RENEWED

    Reno-Fernley Raceway has been divided between two owners for years. One had the clay oval, UTV and motocross track while the other owned the road course.
