RENO, NV (Oct. 6) – There are a bunch of things happening this weekend. The kicker will be a change in the weather as we cool down.
•• CAR MEETS:

+ Thursday begins around 8 a.m. when Kim’s Cruisers meet at Kim’s Donut & Tea House. Location is 1328 U.S.395 North in Gardnerville.

– There is a new event for Rev Rally, it’s a Decal Party. Starts at 5 p.m. and the location is 1002 Avenue of the Oaks in Sparks.

– Pinocchio’s Bar & Grill has Bike Night, it benefits Mom’s on the Run. Starts at 6 p.m. and the location is 5995 South Virginia Street in Reno.
+ Friday only has a couple of things listed.

– This week the usual cruise by the Reno Bike Community has been canceled and the year’s final one will be on October 30.

- Reno Old Slammers, a vintage VW group, meets around 6:30 at the Northtowne Parking area. They start their weekly cruise a little after 7 p.m.
- Carson Cars & Coffee may or may not have their Friday and Saturday Dutch meets. Be sure to check their Face Book page.
+ Saturday is a busy day with several meets going on.

- Things start to the east at 8:30 a.m. when Fallon Cars & Coffee hosts its final meet of the year. It’s a free event and on the nursery side of the Walmart.

- At that same time Carson Cars & Coffee have a meet Saturday morning. Location is 395 Motorsports at 961 Jacks Valley Road.

- There is a Veteran’s Angel Tree Poker Run starting at 9 a.m. at Legends Bar & Grill located at 6015 South Virginia Street.

- To the south, starting at 9 a.m., is when Silver Springs & Stagecoach celebrates Founder’s Day with a Block Party Car Show. It’s a small town so the location won’t be hard to find.

- Gardnerville Cars & Coffee has their meet starting at 10 a.m. at Kim’s Donuts. Location is 1331 US-395 North In Gardnerville.

- Over in Fernley, starting at 3 p.m., the Canal Wine Lounge ar 1031 Inglewood Drive, hosts another Cruise-In.

- This week a new weekly cruise-in has started in Reno. The Brotherhood of Street Racers hosts Saturday Nights at Coaches Bar & Grill. Starts at 7 p.m. and the location is 1573 South Virginia Street.
- For those that attend the Friday, Saturday and Sunday Dutch Bros meets Carson Cars & Coffee has they are running a bit late so be sure to check their Face Book Page.
+ Sunday has three things happening.

- Community 4 Vets Last Detail starts at 9 a.m. and it’s a Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show. Location is the west parking lot of the Atlantis Casino.

- At 10 a.m. Sparks Cars & Coffee has its first meet of the month. Location is by the Starbucks on Disk Drive at the south end of Spanish Springs.

- As usual there is Model Sunday’s Cruise In and Kickback to end Sunday. Starts at 5 p.m. and the location is 195 West Plumb Lane in Reno.
RACING (4-WHEEL):

+ The Reno Sports Car Club of America has moved their last Solo event. It’s now on October 17-18 so as not to conflict with a date in California.

+ Lovelock Speedway ends its season with a one-day show. It’s the BAT 50 that has a Halloween theme and it’s a 6 p.m. start to the racing. The Speedway will also have Trick or Treat bags.
PRACTICE & RACING (MOTOCROSS):

+ REP Racing MX has a busy schedule this weekend with a special event as at Riverfront MX. PCMX has its usual practice schedule from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

- Riverfront MX is hosting the final round of the Saturday Night Series. Thursday, from 5 until 10 p.m. is open practice, Friday is race practice and Sunday is the BBQ and awards.

- Closer to home the Sandbox in Fernley has practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

- On Sunday, from 9 until 2 p.m. the Reno-Fernley Raceway has practice on Sunday.

- E Street MX park has practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. They are using both the front and back tracks.

- MMX Racing on Saturday from 9 until 2 has practice on the Main, Sand and Kid’s tracks. Sunday’s practice is from 9 until 3 p.m. and the Vintage track is added to the mix.
RACING (NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL):

+ As usual NASCAR’s events are behind pay walls. So here is this week’s broadcast schedule. And remember all their races, was well as others have highlights shown on www.youtube.com.
+ Thursday at 5 p.m. Fox Sports 1 comes on with Speed followed by Kevin’s Harvick’s Happy Hour.
• Friday stats at 1:10 a.m. when Apple TV has Formula 1 practice from Singapore then at 5:10 the network has Formula 1 Sprint qualifying.
- Fox Sports 2 ends the day a 10:55 with MotoGP Sprint from Indonesia.
• Saturday begins at 1:15 a.m. when Apple TV has Formula 1 Sprint then at 5:25 a.m. with Formula 1 qualifying.

- The day ends at 10:30 when Fox 2 has the MoroGP race from Indonesia,

• Sunday starts at 3:50 a.m. when Apple TV broadcasts the Formula 1 race from Singapore. This is a night race between the walls.
– Finally the weekend ends when the USA Network airs the NASCAR Cup race from Charlotte.
