  • TRUNK OR TREAT PLUS RACING WEEKEND

    RENO, NV (Oct. 31) — Great weekend for kids with five days of Trunk or Treat events and the final oval track race in our region.   • RACING PREVIEW: OCTOBER 6 TO 9

    RENO, NV (Oct. 5) — As we head into October there are a bunch of car swap meets. The oval track season in Northern Nevada is shutting down but there is one more weekend to go at the Susanville track.  Over on TV Land major series are heading into their final weeks.   • ROCKABILLY RIOT PLUS RENO CARS & COFFEE

    RENO, NV (Sept. 18) — Despite the cooler weather and a few sprinkles Sunday, two car meets happened this weekend. And they brought very different cars and trucks to each meet.  Saturday got rolling at 4 p.m. when the Rail City Casino in Sparks hosted the Rockabilly Rat Rod and Classic Car show ‘n shine.   • RENO CARS & COFFEE: AUGUST 21

    RENO, NV (August 21)— On this late summer day Reno Cars & Coffee had its second meet of the month. While the turnout had a good variety of cars the numbers the count was down a bit from the last meet.  Wasn’t really a Corvette row but a couple of them were the front engine variety. Not far away were two versions of the rear engine models.  One of the more unusual cars was a small black 1947 Morris 8 Series E.   • HAN IN VC, BONANZA CRUISE-IN STARTS CAR CELEBRATIONS

    RENO, NV (July 31) — This weekend begins a huge celebration of cars in the Reno/Sparks area. There will be cruises and shows in various areas plus crowds of people enjoying this festival.  Hot August Nights started things with a Friday-Saturday show up in Virginia City. They blocked off C Street and it was full of cars on display.  While some cars were restored while others were built from almost nothing.     RENO, NV (July 3) — Two car meets got the month rolling. There was a third but this reporter was unable to attend that one.  Reno Cars & Coffee had its first meet of the month by the Keitzke Starbucks.     SPARKS, NV (June 26) — Double-header this weekend as one group prepares for a big race in July. The other ended June with its second meet of the month.  Sparks Cars & Coffee now meets by the Starbucks located on Disc drive.   • RACERS HELP ANOTHER RACER & RENO CARS & COFFEE

    CARSON CITY, NV (1-1-22) — Local racers spent New Year’s Day at the Carson Raceway, an indoor track for electric go-karts.     RENO, NV (DEC. 19) — Two very different events this weekend. Saturday found the Nevada Jeep Club staging a Parade of Lights and convoy through downtown Carson City. Sunday is when Reno Cars & Coffee had the third annual Cars & Toys at Muscle Motors.  Things got rolling Saturday evening in front of Carson City Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram.   • TOY DRIVE WEEKEND IN NORTHERN NEVADA

    RENO, NV (Dec. 5) — This weekend cars groups plus motorcycle clubs and businesses were busy rounding up toys for disadvantaged children. It was a weekend to help others in need.  Saturday began when Reno Area Dirt Riders (RAD) and Big Valley Honda teamed up for a combined event. RAD was helping people register their motorcycles and UTVs so the paperwork and fees would be in order.
