RENO, NV (Jan. 29) — Well here we are, it’s Chinese New Year, and racing returns to our area for this weekend. Not to mention car meets and a special NASCAR race on TV. RENO, NV (Jan. 15) — Let’s see car meets this weekend, motocross practice and an off-road series starting to our south. Not to mention highlights and two series going, one over seas and one in the U.S. CAR MEETS: • As usual the Iron Mafia gets the weekend rolling with its Thursday morning meet at Kim’s Donut and Tea House. Since we’re still in the Re-Run zone and it’s the fifth weekend of the month things are a bit scrambled until we get into the New Year. As a result these reports will be a bit different. RENO, NV (Dec. 18) — Almost to Christmas and New Year’s so racing on TV is truly in the Re-Run Zone. However there are still car and motorcycle events in our region. RENO, NV (Nov. 27) — Here we are, Thanksgiving week and on Sunday we head into December. While virtually all racing is about to take a short pause there are still car meets and cruises to enjoy. CAR MEETS: • Since this is Thanksgiving weekend I’m not going to mention some events that usually happen every week as I’m not sure they will this time. RENO, NV (Nov. 20) — Well it’s almost Thanksgiving weekend and racing is over in our region although there are still car meets and maybe a cruise. With stormy weather headed our way things could get iffy so it’s best to check first. CAR MEETS: • I’m told the Thursday meet with the Iron Mafia happens rain or shine.
