The shop was started by two friends, Dennis “The Desert Fox,’ Belingheri and Paul “Ziggy,” Ziegler after they moved up here from Southern Nevada.

Ziggy explained they both had experience working in motorcycle shops and once here decided to open RMS rather than buy houses.

After starting the shop in 1996 they saw a need to help expand off-road racing in this area and in 1998 started MRANN, Motorcycle Racing Association of Northern Nevada.

At first the shop was small and on the side of the building it still is located in. Later they expanded and moved to the corner location they still have to this day.

The shop caters to off-road racers, motocross racers, those that ride quads and people that just love riding motorcycles.

Once inside a customer will find rows of racks having just about anything they could want. The list of what’s offered is pretty long to say the least as they have about anything a rider could ask for or need.

It ranges from tires, rims, additives and even striders for little kids just learning how to operate on two wheels. There is even a large rack with all the oil, additives and lubrication items that might be needed.

Moving through the aisles one can find goggles, sun glasses, T-shirts, caps, riding apparel, boots socks and a wall full of different styles of helmets.

Then there are handlebars, fenders and parts for the side of a bike, chest protectors and neck protection. They even have caps and calendars.

A small room has been created for all the tires that are carried and range from off road to street riding. And they’ll change a tire while a customer waits and no appointment is necessary.

Nick “Nick Nack,” Alosi is about to service a customer’s bike.

In the back is a full service shop. While Belingheri is very much a hands-on person, there are two techs working in the back, Nick “Nick Nak,” Alosi and C.J. Crandall.

Back in the shop C.J. Crandall works on the bike Belingheri used to win MRANN’s first race of the season.

Both are qualified and can do any repair a bike needs to have done.

Customer satisfaction and service are the priorities for both the store and shop. RMS is well known in this area, especially to those that race.
