RACING CALENDAR FOR THE WEEK OF 7-21/27

• Racing in this area begins at 6 p.m. Saturday when Fernley 95A Speedway hosts another of its regular points races. The Outlaw Kart will also race but their show begins at noon.

An hour later, at 7 p.m., American Valley Speedway, in Quincy, Calif., stages one of its mini series races. The track has teamed up with Diamond Mountain Speedway in Susanville for a mini series between both tracks.

Up at the Stead Airport, the Reno Region of the SCCA stages another of its Solo 1 events in front of the Air Race bleachers. This competition pits a driver against the clock as he or she races through a pylon lined course.

• For stock car and truck fans this is a major week that begins Wednesday at 6 p.m. when Fox Sports 1 broadcasts the second annual Mud Summer Classic. Once again the Camping World Trucks take to the clay oval at Eldora for an old fashion, mud slinging shoot out.

On Friday, at 2:30 p.m. the IMSA Tudor series takes to the road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and following that, at 6 p.m., the ARCA series races at Lucas Oil Speedway (Formally Indianapolis Raceway Park.) for their race. Both events will be televised on Fox Sports 1.

The weekend’s action switches to ESPN as that network broadcasts Saturday’s Nationwide event on the oval at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Then one of NASCAR’s premier events the Brickyard 400 starts at 10 a.m.

Formula 1 fans want to set their DVR’s to 5 a.m. Sunday morning as the Hungarian Grand Prix gets going then.

• For motocross fans the AMA Outdoor series visits Washougal, Washington this weekend.

On Sunday pro moto 1 will be televised on MATV at 1 p.m. while the second moto is on NBCSN starting at 3 p.m.
