This week there is racing live, on TV and the Internet.

Once again there will be no practice at the Livfast Exit 28 motocross track as they are preparing for their next race.

On Sunday the big bikes get their turn racing a 36-mile long course with the start time of 10 a.m. This race is put on by the Lassen Motorcycle Club, the Diamond Backs.

Also on Sunday the Northern Nevada Kart Club will start their season at Desert Park Raceway, located a quarter mile past where the pavement ends on Lemmon Valley Drive. Usually it’s a 10 a.m. start to the racing.

And there will be action on TV as well.

CBS Sports, starting at 4 p.m. Thursday will have Australian V-8 Supercars followed at 5 p.m. by FIM Motocross, the MXGP race and at 8:30 p.m. the network will broadcast the MX 2 race.

If you can’t see or record the Supercross events, the main events for both 250 and 450 can be seen on You Tube. Go to the Supercross pages.

On Sunday CBS Sports has a GT Sprint Series race from Europe.

Over on the Internet side, www.fanschoice.tv has a pair of very different events.

Supporting the Moto GP event at the Circuit of the Americas, outside of Austin, Texas there will be an AMA Pro Flat Track event at a new half mile oval.

Things begin at noon with practice and qualifying then at 4 p.m. the heat races and semis will be run. Finally at 5:40 p.m. the main events will be staged.

The Moto GP race itself will be broadcast but no time was given and it’s one a foreign site.

Then on Sunday there is a double header from Thompson Speedway Park. First up are various races with several classes beginning at 9:15 a.m. followed at 12:30 p.m. by a 150-lap Whelen Modified Tour race.

And do remember all the times I post are for the Pacific Time Zone.

Have a great weekend and if possible get out and see a race live. There is nothing like it to hear the sounds, see the color and witness the speeds.
