Thursday is for prerunning while Friday has qualifying, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., as the drivers use a short course.

Saturday is race day and the Prelims begin at 10 a.m. and they run, as well as the UTV main, until the opening ceremonies. Then at 12:44 the 4400 Class has its B main to set the field for these unlimited racers.

NASCAR: Talladega.

This weekend NASCAR is at the Talladega Super Speedway.

It’s a busy Sunday this weekend as NBC Sports, at 11 a.m., has the NASCAR Sprint Cup event from Talladega. Then at 11:30 a.m. NBC will air the Formula 1 race from Austin.

Over on CBS Sports their racing begins at 10 a.m. with the Australian V8 Supercars then at 1 p.m. they have two programs with the Pirelli World Challenge.

That’s it for this weekend but if possible do get out and see live racing. The Ultra 4 event is like nothing you’ve ever seen and I’d recommend getting there by noon, you’ll be glad you were at that race.

Then on Sunday, come on out to Fernley and enjoy the motocross action at the Sandbox. There is nothing like being at a race to fully experience the excitement, color and speed of these events
