RENO, NV (June 9) — Nice weather and should be a good week ahead. First of all an announcement.
Had back surgery in April that led to about 7 weeks in an extended care facility here in Reno. Had no access to this site but now am back. Hope to get going again although don’t have the endurance to report races but am working on that.
CAR MEETS:
• Sparks Cars and Coffee had their first meet of the month Sunday. Location was by the Starbucks off Disc Drive. Good weather meant a good turn out.
Since I was unable to make it I’m indebted to Ed Hughes for allowing me to use some of his photos,

As usual there was a mix of cars on display and that includes a group of imports lined up.

Also on display were these two Pontiac Fieros. Their owners keep them looking good.

American iron was also on display. While some are stock other are modified and given a second life by their owners.

There are usually a few exotics that are at these events including this gray one. Not sure of the brand but it looks Italian, no matter it’s beautiful. It appears to have drawn a crowd of admires.

• Tuesday, starting at 6:30, Trucks & Tacos of Northern Nevada meets at Cielito Lindo. Location is 290 Lemmon Drive.

• Wednesday, starting at 5 p.m. is when the weekly Cruise in at the Sparks A&W happens. There is music and prizes. location is on Baring across from Reed High School.
