RENO, NV (Sept 28) — The last weekend of September ended with a bunch of meets. The biggest event was the annual Street Vibrations where our region becomes Sturgis West.
Now days Street Vibrations is spread out over the area. Part is in Reno, part in Carson City and another part up in Virginia City so there are motorcycles coming and going.

• On Friday the J Casino Hotel had an area fenced off where vendors were as well as stunts would happen

However either the J or Road Show, who puts on the event, was charging admission to the area.

To the west, by the 580 Freeway Reno Harley-Davidson was a very busy. In fact Market Street was lined with motorcycles as was the side street.

There was a long “L” shaped vendor area that had about everything a rider could want.

At one corner there was the Ball of Death where two guys in motorcycles rode in some crossing paths.

The dealership had many motorcycles outside that were on sale as well as a showroom full of bikes and other accessories.
• Friday started when the Reno British Car Club staged the Reno British Motor Show at Rancho San Rafael.

Cars were lined up according to their era and model. One row was for MGB/C/GT cars. Many of them had their hoods up.

There were older MG’s as well. There were at least two rows of Triumph cars and one of them had a earlier models.

Not to be left out there was a small group of British Motorcycles. Over at the pavilion the club had baskets that could be bid on and each had a bunch of items.
Moving over to Sparks, just off Rock Blvd. the Revision Brewing Company held the “Baddest Little Bike Show.” It was a place where one could get a drink and something to eat.

Inside there were displays of bikes. One was against a wall of artwork.

Across from that were more bikes all chromed and on display. All the bikes had a sheet identifying them and was placed by the front wheels.

Around noon there was a group that rode in and would be checking the bikes inside the building.
• The biggest car meet Sunday was hosted by Northern Nevada Classics. The location was the Classic Cruise-In at the Northern Nevada State Veteran’s Home.

Asked about the show Amy Morley, who is the Director of Volunteer Services said, “What happened was, it was suggested during Hot August Nights to bring the cars to our veterans here at the home. Knowing that the car clubs were very busy during that time we were able to get a contact, Kevin Degregori and he organized it for us.
“We just have 96 veterans here that would love to share the love of cars. It’s amazing, the turn out is absolutely incredible, our community support here is just over whelming.”

Over by the entrance there was a Mustang as well as a row of veterans that were admiring the cars. Later in the morning a BBQ fed everyone lunch,

There was a variety of cars from different eras as well as a van. One of the more unusual cars was an immaculate T-Bucket.

Another car was a Studebaker that had the Iron Mafia flag sticking out of one window.
When asked all the veterans appreciated the show since many are is wheel chairs or use walkers. So they can’t get out so see meets.
