RENO, NV (Nov. 5) — Daylight Saving Time is over and we’re headed into the end of the year. This is when many series are heading toward their winter nap but there is still some this month.
CAR MEETS:

• The weekend gets rolling at 8 a.m. Thursday when Kim’s Kruisers meet at Kim’s Donut and Tea House. Location is 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville.

• This weekend is when the annual The FERN 45 for vets happens at Reno-Fernley Raceway Park. Live music, events and money from the events benefits veterans.

• Saturday morning Vintage Euro Cars & Coffee meets at the Summit Mall. Times are 9 to 11 a.m. but this time it’s at the new Starbucks located at the south end by the Trader Joe’s.

• Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. is when Sparks Cars & Coffee meets. Location is by the Starbucks on Disk Drive at the south end of Spanish Springs.

• Sunday afternoon, from 1 until 3 p.m., the Nevada Car Coalition is holding a 2026 Calendar Planning Meeting. The aim to have events not conflict with each other. Location is the National Automobile Museum and clubs will have tables for promotional material.

- Over the past year events promoted by Nevada Car Coalition have helped various causes including the Veterans Guest House.
• Tuesday is Veteran’s Day

- Starting by the Virginia Street Bridge at 10 a.m. is when Reno’s parade begins as it heads down Virginia Street.

- At that same time the annual Veteran’s Day Parade begins by the 4th Ward School in Virginia City. It heads down B Street and usually participants receive a free lunch at the Senior Center.
RACING (4-WHEEL):

• Saturday, from 9 until 11 is the year’s last Track Work Day for the Nothern Nevada Kart Club. Location is Desert Park Raceway and 2026 memberships will be available.
PRACTICE & RACING (MOTORCYCLES):
• Two motorcycle series end their seasons this weekend.

+For the first time in seven years MRANN returns to Moon Rocks. Event is hosted by Rimbenders MC and is the 2025 Moonrocks Hare Scrambles.
- Saturday is when the Pee Wees, on a short cours race. Then they are followed by the Mini and Women’s race on a longer course.
– Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. is when the big bikes race on a long course. One that can be pretty technical.

+ That same weekend at the Sandbox MX in Fernley, Battle Born MX stages Round 6 of the Fall Series. Saturday is for practice and the Stacyc race while Sunday is race day for all classes.

• REP Racing has a full schedule as Riverfront MX has practice Sunday from 9 until 2 p.m. then PC MX has a DCMX Ride Day from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday while Sunday, at the same times, has Open Practice.

• E Street MX plans to have open practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

• MMX racing has practice Saturday from 9 until 2 p.m. on the Main, Sand and Kid’s tracks. Sunday from 9 until 3 p.m. there is more practice.
RACING (NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL)
• On Thursday the Racer Network at 2 p.m. has Supercars highlights from the Bathurst 1000. It usually is a wild race for this Australian series.
- At 7:30 p.m. Fox Sports 1 has Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour.
• Friday starts at 6:25 a.m. when ESPN 2 has Formula 1 practice from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Then at 10:25 the network airs Sprint Qualifying.
• ESPN 2 starts Saturday at 5:55 a.m. with the Formula 1 Sprint Race.
- Fox Sports 1 at 6:55 a.m. has the MotoGP Sprint race from Portugal. Then at 9:55 a.m. ESPN News has Formula 1 qualifying from Sao Paulo.
• Sunday begins at 4:30 a.m. when Fox Sports 1 has the MotoGP race from Portugal. Then, at 8:55 a.m. ESPN 2 airs the Formula 1 race from Brazil.

• This past year I’ve mainly been using the TV schedule that Full Throttle creates. Well here is their end of the NASCAR graphic.
OTHER RACING NEWS:

• Less than a month from now the annual Reno Toy Run that starts at Reno Harley-Davidson happens. It’s a huge even that has a Santa led parade over to the Convention Center.
• Davey’s American Racing can be found on Face Book.

He also posts schedules for various tracks and there related subjects.
