RENO, JEEPS, CARS & COFFEE + ANNOUNCEMENTS

RENO, NV (Feb. 1): Well here we are starting a new month and the day before Ground Hog Day. Wonder if he’ll see his shadow.

At home there were two meets, one for Jeeps and the other for cars.

• Sunday started when Reno Jeeps and Coffee meet at the Human Bean Coffee stand located at the corner of Longley Lane and South McCarran.

Early in the meet, more arrived later.

Several Jeeps were on hand and more arrived later. This group meets the first Sunday of the month. Next month when the meets end there may be a cruise up to Moss Lake.

• Not far away, by the corner of Keizke and Moana Lanes, is another Human Bean Coffee Stand. The parking area between that and Cal Ranch is where Reno Cars & Coffee meets twice a month.

This Lamborghini attracted a fair amount of attention.

One exotic was this blue Lamborghini. It attracted a crowd of on lookers and several had questions for the owner.

This exotic moved around while it young driver checked out all the cars.

There was also a very small exotic that was also there but it wasn’t parked. The young driver was focused in getting around people as he and his parents moved up and down the rows..

There was a trio of Corvettes that arrived together.

Over on one row there were three Corvettes, one mid engine while the other two had front engines.

This El Camino was also on display.

Not far away was a Chevy El Camino with its hood up and even had its headlights taped.

The enhanced motor in the El Camino.

The El Camino has an enhanced motor that probably powers it away from stop lights and maybe down the drag strip.

One pick up on display was this vintage F100 Ford.

Not far away there sat a Ford F100. It had different headlights as well as an enhanced motor.

Reno Cars & Coffee had one of its largest turn outs to date.

The turn out, as well as the number of cars and trucks, was the largest so far. In fact the vehicles took up at least five or six rows of the parking lot. The “winter” we’re having seems to bring more people to these meets.

Next Sunday Sparks Cars & Coffee has its first meet of the month. The location is by the Starbucks located at Disk Drive.
