RENO, NV (Feb. 4) — Well we’re in February and racing our region has started. There are also several car meets this weekend to see before the weather changes next week.
CAR MEETS:

• Once again Thursday starts around 8 a.m. when Kim’s Kruisers meet at Kim’s Donuts and Tea House. Location is 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville.

• This weekend Carson Cars and Coffee has a double header. Friday’s meet starts at 6:30 p.m., as does Saturday’s meet. Location is Dutch Brothers and the address is 1231 South Carson Street by the shopping center.

• Saturday Cars & Karts has a meet by Need2Speed. The Parking Lot Take Over starts at 2 p.m. and the address is 2863 Northtowne Lane, Suite 400.

• Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. Sparks Cars & Coffee has its first meet of the month. Location is by the Starbucks at 171 Disc Drive
RACING (4-WHEEL):

• To the south, at Johnson Valley, California, the King of the Hammers is continuing. One can view life streams at, www.kingofthehammers.com or see highlights on www.youtube.com.
• Area Oval Tracks and Drag Strips are still on their winter beak. However in a week or so to the south the Parker 500 will start the off-road season.

• The Northern Nevada Kart Club released its schedule for 2026. They have seven races schedule for this season.
RACING & PRACTICE (MOTOCROSS):

• This week REP Racing has as full schedule for its three tracks.
- Riverfront MX has Thursday night practice from 4 until 9 p.m. then Friday, from 4 until 9 p.m. is Mini Night Practice. Saturday is a private day for DCMX, times are 9 until 2 p.m. and Sunday is open practice for the same times.
- Prairie City MX from 9 until 2 p.m. has open practice Saturday and Sunday.
- The Sandbox in Fernley has open practice Sunday. Times are 10 until 3 p.m. but be sure to register at, www.repracingmx.com.

• E Street MX has practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

• MMX Racing has practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday on the Main, Sand and Kids tracks. Then on Sunday, from 9 until 3 p.m. the Vintage track is added to the mix.
RACING (NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL):
• TV is very slim this week but on Thursday starting at 6 p.m. RACER has highlights from the Asian Le Mans series.

• This Saturday the AMA Supercross series moved to State Farm Stadium at Glendale, Arizona. The TV coverage starts at 4 p.m. on Peacock and www.youtube.com will air highlights a couple of hours after the event ends.
• Other sites that might have racing are, www.mavtv.com, www.floracing.com, www.racxr.com, and www.dirtvision.com. And of course, www.youtube.com.
THER RACING NEWS:

• Wanted to give a head’s up to any car clubs out there. On Sunday, February 22 the Nevada Car Coalition is having a 2026 Calendar Meeting. This is to let clubs schedule their events without conflicting with others. The times are 1 to 3 p.m. and the location is the National Auto Museum.

• As far as I know Hot August Nights is still seeking volunteers. If you would like to help the event this is probably a great opportunity. You can make a difference and can register at, www.hotaugustnights.net/volunteer-member/.
• Davey’s American Racing can be found on Face Book.

He also posts schedules for various tracks and there related subjects.
