RENO, NV (Feb. 11) — This weekend racing returns to Reno as well as car meets. And it’s also the weekend that NASCAR returns to action.
CAR MEETS:

• Thursday gets rolling around 8 a.m. with a meet at Kim’s Donut and Tea House. Location is 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville.

• Carson Cars & Coffee has another double-header this weekend. They meet on Friday and Saturday starting at 6:30 p.m. at Dutch Brothers Coffee located at 1231 Carson Street.
• Sunday is when two other groups have meets.

-Reno Cars & Coffee, starting at 10 a.m., has its second meet of the month. Location is by the Human Bean Coffee stand that’s close to the corner of Keitzke and Moana Lane.

- To the south Gardnerville Cars & Coffee is having its first meet of the year. Starts at 10 a.m. and is at Kim’s Donut and Teahouse located at 1328 US. 395 North in Gardnerville.
RACING (4-WHEEL):
• Tracks in this region are still in their winter pause but next month at least one oval track will start having test an tune sessions.
RACING & PRACTICE (MOTOCROSS):

• The biggest event locally is when the AMA Arenacross series visits the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center.

The Pros race Friday and Saturday. Every evening there is an autograph session then at 7:30 the racing begins,

Sunday is for the Amateurs after the course is adjusted for safety. Practice starts at 10 a.m. with racing starting after that.

• This week MRANN has its second race of the season. Trail Blazers presents the 28th annual Frosty’s Nuts 100 Hare & Hound. Location is east of Fernley and north of the Nightingale exit on I-80.
- As usual the youngsters, Saturday Women and Bombers race on Saturday as well as the Stacys. Sunday is for the big bikes and they start at 10 am for two-laps around a 45-mile long loop.
• REP Racing has a full schedule this weekend on all three of its tracks.

- Riverfront MX has Thursday night practice from 4 until 9 p.m. then, at those same times Friday night is Mini Practice.
- Prairie City MX has practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
- Closer to home the Sand Box in Fernley on Saturday has a DCMX Private Ride Day. Then, at those same times, Sunday is for open practice. Remember one must register for these events at www.repracingmx.com.

• This week the P.R.O. Frigid 8 Winter series is at E-Street MX Park.
• Did not find anything on MMX Racing but they usually have practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday then 9 until 3 p.m. Sunday. Best advice is to check their site or Face Book for up dates.
RACING (NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL):

• Once again NASCAR has put most of this week’s behind a Pay Wall so here is their schedule for Speed Week,
• On Friday ROKU will broadcast the Formula E race from Jeddah.

• This Saturday the AMA Supercross series moves north to Seattle and Peacock will carry the event. Raceday begins at 10 a.m. while it’s a 4 p.m. gate drop for the heat races.
While the time wasn’t listed ROKU will carry the second Formula E race.
• Sunday is when FOX broadcasts the Daytona 500 and the pre-race show starts at 9:30 a.m.
That’s it for this weekend. If possible attend a race, if not then visit a car meet. You’ll meet some great people in either place.
