RENO, NV (Feb. 25) — Well here we are, March is about start and more green flags will be waving. We are finally out of the rerun zone.
CAR MEETS:

• On Thursday, starting around 8 a.m., Kim’s Kurisers gets the weekend started when they meet at Kim’s Donut an Tea House. Location is 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnereville.

• Saturday is when Northern Nevada Muscle is having its first cruise of the year. It all starts at noon when folks meet at the Maverik’s station located at 11795 Veterans Parkway, right by the round about at the base of Geiger Grade. From there they cruise up to Virginia City.

• Another group having a ride is the Reno Bike Community. They’ll meet at the Reno Arch at 11, then at noon start their ride.
• Sunday is a double header for two different clubs.

- Reno Jeeps & Coffee meets on Sunday morning by the Human Bean Coffee Stand located at the corner of Longley Land and South McCarran. The meet stars at 10 a.m. and around noon they’ll cruise to Moss Lake.

- Reno Cars & Coffee also meets on Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. by the Human Bean Coffee stand located near the corner of Moana and Keitzke Lanes.
RACING (4-WHEEL):

• If one races off-road with VORRA registration is open for the Prospector 250. That race opens their season in March.
• While the oval tracks aren’t open yet, some will start having test and tune sessions toward the end of March if the weather cooperates.
RACING & PRACTICE (MOTOCROSS):

• REP RACING MX will be busy this weekend at all three of their tracks. Remember one needs to register at, www.repracingmx.com.
- Riverfront MX has open practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Sunday.
- Prairie City MX has practice from 9 until 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
- Closer to home on the Sandbox MX in Fernley has a DCMX Ride Day from 10 to 3 on Saturday. Sunday, from 10 to 3 is open practice.

• Reno Fernley Raceway has open practice Saturday from 10 until 3 p.m. on its MX track.

• MMX Racing busy this weekend with two days of racing with AMA District 36 events. Both Saturday and Sunday have several events

• E Street MX Park also is busy as they host an AMA District event. It’s the Yuba River Run Hare Scrambles and both days have several events.
RACING (NATIONAL & INTERNAIONAL):

• Once again all but one NASCAR race is behind a pay wall. This time the trucks are with the Indy Cars while the Cup cars race outside of Austin, Texas at COTA.
• On Thursday Fox Sports 1, starting at 3 p.m., has Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour.
• Friday is a good time to check with other outlets.

– The Indy Car series begins its 2026 Season in St. Petersburg and all but the final is on Fox Sports 1.

- This week Moto GP begins its 2026 season. First event in 2026 is in Thailand. On Friday, starting at 11:30 p.m. Fox Sports 1 has the MotoGP Sprint race.

• Saturday marks the start of Bike Week in Daytona and the next round for AMA Supercross gets things going. Peacock broadcasts Raceday Live starting at 10 a.m. then at 4 p.m. they’ll show the race.

They’ll use a special track at the Daytona International Speedway. It’s designed by Ricky Carmichael and will be a challenging course.

Saturday ends at 11:30 p.m. when Fox Sports 1 broadcasts the MotoGP race from Thailand.

• Sunday at 9 a.m. on Fox is the start of the Indy Car broadcast from St. Petersburg. The spring is very busy for these team’s as they also get ready for the Indy 500
- Then at 12:30 p.m. Fox will broadcast the NASCAR Cup race from COTA in Texas.
• Remember www.youtube.com usually has highlights of most of the races.
That’s it for this weekend. If possible get out to one of the events, or maybe a race. You’ll meet some great people and see some wonderful looking cars.
