RENO, NV (Sept. 24) — Final week of September is the first week of fall. Once again the car meet buffet is full as the racing.
CAR MEETS:

• Thursday begins at 8 a.m. when Kim’s Kruizers meet at Kim’s Donut and Tea House. Location is 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville.
- Over the summer there have been informal cruises, that start around 5 p.m., to the ice cream shop at Chilcoot and Thursday is the final one for this season. To get there take 395 north then turn west (left) at Highway 70, go over the hill and its tat the turn off for Frenchman’s Lake.
• Once again Friday looks like an empty day but one might want to check the Face Book page for Carson Cars and Coffee. Many times they have pop up meets.

• Saturday is a busy day and it all starts when the Historic Fallon Theatre presents the 2025 Show N’ Shine. Location is 405 S. Maine Street, that area by the theatre. Always a good time and the theatre usually shows a movie that afternoon.

- That same morning, starting at 9 a.m., the Reno British Motor Show is at Rancho San Rafael Park. It’s a free event for the public and the meet benefits the Boys & Girls Club.

– Northern Nevada Muscle has a cruise planned for Saturday. Meet at Cabalas, by Boomtown, at noon. The cruise starts at 12:15 then goes to Truckee, Incline Village and stops on Mt. Rose for pictures.

- 1st Choice Automotive and Restoration host the 5th annual Car Party. Times are 3 to 7 p.m. and location is 850 Marietta Way in Sparks.

- Later Hot Rod Nights presents the summer’s last Car Show @ Sonic. Times are 6:30 to 9 p.m. and the location is Sonic at 6250 South Virginia Street.
• Sunday is another busy day with three meets starting at 10 a.m. and going to at least noon.

- First is the Classic Cruise-In at the Northern Nevada State Veteran’s Home. Most of the folks couldn’t get out to see Hot August Nights to the show is coming to them. Starts at 10 a.m. and has a BBQ Cookout as well as music. Location is 36 Battle Born Way in Sparks.

- To the north, from 10 until noon, Sparks Cars & Coffee has its second meet of the month. Location is by the Starbucks on Disc Drive.
- Next is a function listed on the Reno Jeeps & Coffee page. Times are 10 to noon and the location is at the Human Bean Coffee Stand located on Pyramid Highway and Holman Drive.
• NOTICE: This Wednesday was the season’s final Cruise-In at the Sparks A&W.
RACING (4-WHEEL):

• Summit Raceway, in Elko, ends season with the Goldrush races. Racing starts at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Winnemucca Regional Raceway canceled the races for this weekend and ask people to support the Gold Rush races at Summit Raceway.
RACING & PRACTICE (MOTORCYCLES):

• This weekend Road Shows turns our region into Sturgis West with Street Vibrations 2025. Events are planned for Reno, Virginia City and Carson City.

- One major participant is Reno Harley-Davidson as they have a bunch of things to enjoy as well as a lot of bikes to admire.

- Battle Born Harley-Davidson will also have a bunch of things to enjoy. This includes stunt shows.

- On Saturday at 11 a.m. Need2Speed is hosting the Hooligan Ride.

- Revision, located at 380 South Rock Blvd. in Sparks will host the Baddest Little Bike Show from 10 until 6 p.m. on Saturday. There will be trophies, food trucks, drinks, music and giveaways.

- There is also the 28th annual Cathouse Poker Run on Saturday. Both Reno Harley-Davidson and Battle Born Harley-Davidson in Carson City are part of this.
• There are practice sessions as well as races for the motocross crowd this weekend.

- REP Racing MX has a full schedule for the weekend. Riverfront from 5 till 10 p.m. has open practice then PCMX fro 8 until 1 p.m. has open practice on Saturday. The Sandbox MX in Fernley has a DC-MX private vet ride day from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday then Sunday, from 8 until 2 p.m. its open practice.

- MMX Racing on Friday will host the final Friday Night Under the Lights series. This is the final race of this series and registration is open.

- Then the track has open practice on the weekend.

- E Street MX Park is also busy this weekend as it hosts Round 3 of the Battle Born MX series. Sunday is race day while Saturday after practice is when the youngsters in the Stacyc Class race on a shortened course.

- Argyll MX hosts an OTHG race this weekend. Saturday is for practice while Sunday is race day.
RACING (NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL):

• Once again the NASCAR and ARCA races are behind pay walls. On some cable networks CW is part of the package but one can also see the highlights on www.youtube.com.
• Thursday is full of repeats but at 4 p.m. Fox Sports 1 has Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour.
• Most of Friday is empty but one can see highlights on You Tube or www.floracing.com, www.mavtv.com, www.fanschoice.tv or www.speedsport.tv.
- That evening at 11:55 p.m. is when Fox Sports 1 has the MotoGP sprint race from Motegi, Japan.

• Saturday, at 9:30 p.m. is when Fox Sports 1 airs the MotoGP race from Japan.

• Sunday FOX 1 has the NHRA Midwest Nationals from outside of St. Louis. At 10:30 a.m. it’s qualifying show #1 then starting at noon the finals start.
That’s it for this weekend. Should be good weather to if possible attend at race, There is nothing like it for live action and excitement. If not a race then attend a car meet. You’ll meet some great people no matter which event you attend..
OTHER RACING NEWS:

• If one ever went to practice sessions, rode a side-by-side there or raced they should pay attention to this. Public support is needed to remove the threat to the Prairie City SVRA.
• Davey’s American Racing is found on Face Book. His focus is on western oval tracks as well as national series.

He also posts schedules for various tracks and there related subjects.
