RENO, NV (Oct. 8) — Once again there are a bunch of car events, cruises and racing on this second weekend of October. Not to mention what is on TV and the Internet.
CAR MEETS:

• As usual Kim’s Kruizers gets the weekend going at 8 a.m. Thursday. Location is Kim’s Donut and Tea House at 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville.

- Down in Carson, starting on Thursday, and going through Saturday, is the Bronco Super Celebration at Mills Park. There will be drives to various places, off road cruises and other things to do.

- Here in Reno, the National Automobile Museum is having a free admission day. It’s a family event that has all sorts of things as well as a movie to see.

• On Friday evening, starting at 7 p.m. Carson Cars & Coffee has a meet. It’s at the Dutch Coffee Stand located at 1231 South Carson Street.

• Saturday begins at 10 a.m. when the Nevada Jeep Club meets for the Peavine Mountains Trail Run to Nitecap. Meeting time is 10 a.m. at the Blind Onion Pizza & Pub at 3605 Kings Row in Reno.

- That same morning, from 9 until 11, the Vintage Euro Cars & Coffee will be meeting. Location is the parking lot near Starbucks. Since it will be cold hot Chocolate is only a few steps away.

- That afternoon, starting at 1 p.m. the Wicked Ways Car Club is having a Trunk or Treat. Location is the Carano’s Boys & Girls Club at 1090 Bresson Ave., in Reno.

- To the south there is the 2025 Silver Springs Founders Day Block Party and Car Show. For further information please check www.silverspringschamber.com.

- That same afternoon, from 3 until 6 p.m. Capital Ford, located at 3660 South Carson Street is having a Pony Show. It will be showcasing classic Mustangs and Broncos.

• Sunday starts at 9 a.m. when Community 4 Vets has a car, truck and motorcycle show. Goes from 9 until 2 p.m. and the location is at Peterbuilt on 2272 Larkin Circle in Sparks. This is a veteran benefit show.

- Later that same morning Sparks Cars & Coffee will have its first meet of the month. Times are from 10 until 11 and location is by the Starbucks on Disc Drive.
RACING (4-WHEEL):

•Biggest race in this area is the Legacy Gold Rush that goes from Virginia City to Tonopah. All the classes are included.

– The event starts Thursday with qualifying, then moves to Virginia City. Race starts at the Dayton Fairgrounds early Saturday morning. Awards will be handed out at the podium in Tonopah.

• Northern Nevada Kart Club ends its season this weekend and champions are named. Saturday is for practice while Sunday, which starts around 9 a.m. is a day full of qualifying, heat races and the mains. Location is Desert Park Raceway on the dirt extension of Lemmon Drive.

- Reno SCCA is having two days of Solo (Autocross) at the Regional Public Safety Training Center. Both days start early and for further information please check www.renoscca.org.
RACING & PRACTICE (MOTOCROSS):

• Battle Born MX will host Round 4 of its fall season this weekend. Practice Saturday and Sunday is Race Day. Location is the Stead MX track, about a mile and a half past the Go Kart track on the dirt extension to Lemmon Drive. It’s time to pre-register, which will help a sign ups.

• REP Racing has practice as all three of its tracks. The Sandbox will be Sunday, from 9 until 2, and one must register at www.repracingmx.com.

• Over the hill E Street MX Park has practice from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

• MMX Racing from 9 until 2 has practice Saturday on the Main, Sand and Kid’s tracks. Sunday’s hours are 9 until three with practice on the Main, Sand and Kid’s tracks while there is an OSMX ride on the Vintage track.

• Oatfield Raceway host the first round of this year’s AMP MX Triple Crown. Friday’s are for practice while Saturday and Sundays are race days.
RACING (NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL)
