RENO, NV (Nov. 26) — As we exit November it’s Thanksgiving Week and things are taking a short pause. Next week however, the first week and weekend in December are packed.
CAR MEETS:

• Since Thursday is Thanksgiving I do not know if Kim’s Kruisers will have their usual 8 a.m. meet that morning. If they do the location is Kim’s Donut & Tea House at 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville.

• Fernley Klazzic Kruizers are having the Christmas for Kids Toy Drive from 9 until 11 a.m. on Saturday. Meet at Old Red’s Bar and Grill in Fernley.

• Saturday, from 9 a.m. until Noon there is a toy drive put on by Cars & Coffee. Location is Bully’s Sports Bar on North Carson Street in Carson City.

• While not a car meet as such if a person wants a nice cruise on Sunday then Yerington Main Street could be great. They are decorating the street and I’m sure some extra hands to help would be appreciated. It begins at 10 a.m. and make sure to dress warm.
• This weekend’s article will be an interview with the new Executive Director of Hot August Nights, an event celebrating its 40th anniversary next year.
RACING (4-WHEEL):
• Oval tracks in our region are closed until spring and the next off-race happens in early December.

• RACING (INTERNATIONAL):
• Very slim on TV this weekend as we are in the Re-Run Zone but there is one event on Sunday. That’s when ESPN 2, starting at 7:55 a.m. has the Formula E race from Qatar.
• However not all is lost as other internet sites have repeats of races that can be seen. A few of them are www.fanschoice.tv, www.mavtv.com, www.dirtvision.com, www.floracing.com and of course www.youtube.com.

• That’s it for this weekend and we here at nvracingnews want to wish all of you out there a very Happy Thanksgiving. Have a safe weekend everyone.
