It’s known as Hot August Nights and while it dominates the area for 10-days each year there are other groups that are there as well. • One of them is VDUB, a Volkswagen based group, whose members have all the variations of this brand. RENO, NV (Aug. 8) — The 10-day long festival known as Hot August Nights is rolling along. After starting in Virginia City it’s going full bore this week in Reno and Sparks. It’s a celebration highlighting cars from a different era as well as entertainment, cruises, drag racing as well as displays of cars and more cars. RENO, NV (August 3) — One of the happiest events in the Reno Sparks area is the annual Hot August Nights. It’s a ten-day celebration that brings people to this area, not to mention a huge economic boost to the region. Hot August Nights reported registrations were sold out at 5,500 cars were registered. RENO, NV (May 18) – Today and tomorrow Virginia Street in downtown Reno is the site of the annual Hot August Night’s Sprint Revival. It’s a preview of this year’s festival that celebrates Cars and music. Teresa’s Garage Radio Show was represented by her 1950’s vintage Chevy.  In the front there were free stickers that advertised the radio show. This is a happy week for many here in Northwest Nevada as it’s time to celebrate and create memories. Some of the sights are in a photo gallery at the end of this article. It celebrates America’s love of automobiles and Rock and Roll especially the 1950’s into the 1970’s era. For an entire week the towns are full of poodle skirts, rock n’ roll bands, poker runs and walks as well as more cars from that era than most people can count.
