Racing preview for this week is a bit slim but still has some things to watch. Now is the annual lull in motorsports. But even in December there are things to give a fan their racing fix. Locally on Friday, Carson Motor Sports (CMS) is having their annual open house on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. Santa will be there for photos as well as specials for that perfect gift for any racer. Racing preview for this week still has something for race fans to get their fix. Even though racing is virtually over for the year there are events being shown on TV and the Internet. So it’s possible for a fan to get their racing fix even in this off-season. As usual Livfast Exit 28 motocross track will be hosting practice sessions from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Racing preview for this weekend is a bit thin but there is still things that will keep a race fan entertained. Locally the only action will be at Livfast Exit 28. They might have a practice session on Thanksgiving from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. for those that want to either work off their turkey or gear up their appetite. RACING PREVIEW: NOV. 19 – 22

Racing preview for this weekend still has some action for fans as well as some two-wheeled racing. While racing locally is over for the year there is still some action. Motocross riders wanting to keep their skills sharp can practice, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Livfast Exit 28. The track is located east of Sparks on I-80 and is the next exit after the one at Mustang. This is NASCAR’s final weekend for this year and three championships will be decided at Homestead, Flordia this weekend. Thursday has several programs and at 4 p.m. NBC

RENO (Nov. 12) — Although racing in our region has ended for the year there is still some action. For those motocross riders that want to sharpen their skills or just stay sharp, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday there are practice sessions at the Livfast Exit 28 track. In Southern Nevada the annual Duel in the Desert is underway. Qualifying and preliminary mains begin this afternoon in a three day show that leads up to Saturday night’s 40-lap IMCA Modified main. Racing preview for this week still has a varied menue of live and delayed events including the final race in our region that brings racing in Northwest Nevada to a close. The curtain comes down on racing in our region this weekend. The final race in this fall’s Motocross Series will be held in Winnemucca. Practice runs from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday then at 9 a.m. Sunday the first motos are scheduled to begin. Racing preview still has a variety of events for the race fan even this late in the year. As the season winds down there are still a couple of events to go in our region. This weekend MRANN will stage its final race of the season outside of Winnemucca. As usual things start at 9:30 a.m. Saturday followed by the Women/Mini Bikes/Bomber race. Racing Preview for this weekend is still varied although various series are heading for their final events of the season. Racing is winding down in Northern Nevada but there is one local event this weekend. Livfast Exit 28 is hosting the third round of the spring motocross season. Practice is on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Then on Sunday gates will open at 6 a.m. followed by practice sessions with a hoped for 9 a.m. start to the motos. Racing preview for this week is a buffet of different types of racing, live, on TV and the Internet. There is a varied menu for racing fans in this area with three different live events to fill the weekend. On Saturday afternoon the Northern Nevada Kart will bring down the curtain on their season with the annual night race at Desert Park Raceway. Practice begins around 4 p.m. and after qualifying racing will begin as they roar into the night. Any championships that are up for grabs will be decided by the time the final checkered flag waves. Racing preview for this weekend has a mix of local and national events to see. Racing this week is a bit light locally but heavy on the TV and Internet side of things. Things actually begin as Baldini’s Casino on Sparks is hosting its Freedom Festival. Highlighting Saturday is a visit from Livfast Freestyle MX riders.
