    Fernley 95A Speedway - will Robert Miller win another IMCA feature.

    Racing preview for this week includes regional action as well as what will be on TV and the Internet. Two regional tracks are in action this week with programs that should be full of hard racing.   Fernley 95A Speedway begins their show Saturday at 6 p.m. and this week, during intermission, there will be Compact Car Hockey as well drawings to give some lucky kids in the crowd bicycles.   Then on Sunday, down in Quincy, California, the annual Fair Races will start at 7 p.m. as American Valley Speedway hosts a show featuring IMCA Modifieds, Hobby and Mini

  • RACING PREVIEW – MAY 7-10

    RACING PREVIEW FOR THIS WEEK BOTH LIVE AND ON TELEVISION This weeks’ racing preview highlights the only two area tracks that in action this weekend. Things are a bit calmer after last week when three regional tracks were in action.   • MOTORSPORT PREVIEW – FEB. 26 – MAR. 1

    Once again television is ripe with various races and so is the Internet. And locally the second race of the year happens this weekend. This weekend MRANN journeys toward Lovelock but the race area is actually about 20-miles along a good dirt road to a dry lakebed west of Toulon.   It’s the Wide Open 120 held at Blue Wing Flat, Nevada.   • MOTORSPORT PREVIEW – FEB. 19-22

    It’s a big week for racing on TV as three major touring series begin their year while another stages the second round of its season. So TV will be crammed with action this weekend. Last Sunday was qualifying for the Great American Race, the 57th running of the Daytona 500 but only the front row was set. On Thursday the rest of the 43 grid spots will be filled with the two Budweiser Dual 150 races.   Those on the inside row race in one event while the rest on the outside row from qualifying also get their chance.   • RACING CALENDAR – NOV. 13 – 16

    This weekend has something for about every type of racing fan and two series determine their championships by Sunday evening.   NASCAR visits Homestead, Florida for the final race of its season and there are two championships yet to be decided. Things begin Friday when Fox Sports 1, at 5 p.m., broadcasts the Camping World Truck series. That title is on the line with Matt Crafton having a chance to win his second crown in as many years.
