    Memorial Day weekend is the biggest racing weekend of the year and a local track had two nights of action. FALLON (May 28) – Rattlesnake Raceway hosted a two-day show this Memorial Day weekend.   • RATTLESNAKE CHAMPION’S NIGHT

    Rattlesnake Raceway - David Ausano wins the Hobby Stock main.

    Rattlesnake Raceway ended the regular season with its champion’s night. FALLON (Sept. 12) – The point season ended for the track and division champions were recognized. And fans got to see a varied program that included cars, Outlaw Karts and Mad Metal Mud Drag Racing. After winning the Hobby Stock main, Dave Ausano was beside himself with joy.     Racing preview for this week is a mix of local events, like oval track and desert racing plus a event for kids on bikes. And TV as well as what’s on the Internet is also covered. This week drivers at another short track are in their stretch run plus a desert series begins its fall season. Also on tap is a special event at a local motocross track and another special event for youngsters.     HOT RACING ON A COOL NIGHT AT RATTLESNAKE 2015 OPENING EVENT   FALLON (April 4) – In what’s becoming a tradition in area oval track racing, Rattlesnake Raceway opened its 2015 season Saturday of Easter weekend.   • SPEED AND CARNAGE AT FRONTIER DAYS RACES

    LOVELOCK (Aug 1-2)- The Frontier Day races at the Lovelock Speedway can be wild affairs. The two-day event highlights the annual celebration of the town’s founding and the action at the speedway is part of the festivities.   This year the races had an added twist as the new I-80 Challenge Series was there to stage its fourth round.
