EXOTIC CHRISTMAS PRESENT

RENO, NV – Want a very different Christmas present to give this year, well thanks to Raymond and Jennifer Anderson you can get one. They are offering a gift that will bring a special memories with it.

It all began a few years ago thanks to an uncle in Sacramento.

“My uncle has a Ferrari parts business,” he said. “They’ve been in business for about 15 years so he kept seeing a lot of these cars come in for repair.”

Since they could pick them up from insurance pre-auction deals they start buying them. This allowed his uncle to fix them and make these exotic cars accessible to more people.

Then they began to rent these cars even though it was expensive the business was still good.

Raymond and his wife moved to Reno in 2006 and are in the construction business but then he got an offer to expand into another area.

“Six months ago my uncle said, ‘hey we want to expand and want to take this business into Reno and Northern Nevada,’ he said. “Sure I’ll help you as I’m an entrepreneur, investor so I can make that happen.”

Jennifer added, “It’s more popular in the larger metropolitan areas like Las Vegas so it’s just now expanding into other areas and getting into the rest of the country.”

While their focus is on this area they have a website, www.supercartickets.com that can sell for all their locations.

“We have three vendors and that’s one of them,” he said. “We’re making our expansion across the country and I’m proving the model with experience from a couple of other companies in Northern Nevada, Northern and Southern California and Arizona right now. This holiday season I’ll use the Super Cars model then just grab other vendors because they all want the business, everybody does.”

To showcase what’s being offered they have a Lamborghini Gallardo on display, close by the Christmas tree, in Meadowood Mall.

Exotic Auto Experiences

Anderson said he is trying to be part of a new trend in holiday giving.

“People are tired of giving stuff as everybody has so much. That’s what really appealed to me,” he said. “All ages are going, ‘wait a minute,’ experiences last for ever, stuff breaks, you throw it away, grab a phone and in three seconds it will be here tomorrow. But you don’t get a memory out of it like experiences do and that’s what excited me.”

He added that in places like Newport Beach, Malibu or San Diego seeing exotic cars is almost a normal occurrence. In Reno not so much.

The name on the business card is Exotic Auto Experience and there are several levels of that. The first, called the Autocross Experience, will be held in the north parking lot of the Livestock Events Center.

A person has to be 18 years or older and have minimum insurance covers that they bring with them that day. They can either drive with an instructor in the right seat or ride with one.

Having an instructor helps keep everything safe as one wants a good experience.

They can also do a ride along and in that case the passenger can be as young as 9-years-old but they have to be tall enough to use the seatbelt harness so no booster seats.

The course is marked by safety cones to a driver can feel the cornering, acceleration and braking these cars offer.

Touring is another experience that can be purchased. For this they take a Lamborghini and Ferrari. A person can also bring whom ever they want in the passenger seat.

Requirements for this is that driver must be at least 25 years of age and will need to bump up their insurance to from 100 to 300 thousand dollars for that day. Of course they’ll need to bring proof of this.

There is a lead car and the tour uses Red Rock Road. After half an hour everyone switches cars and they head back.

“That’s our first touring location but come spring when things thaw out we’ll add more locations up at Tahoe and places like that,” he said.

So far the Autocross experience has six dates scheduled, of course this depends on the weather. They are on the second weekend of January, February and March.

“At minimum we’ll have an F40 Ferrari or a Lamborghini Gallardo, like the one deployed at Meadowood Mall, it’s kind of the base,” he said. “Then we’ll bring an upscale one like a Hurcan and we’ll have a

Jennifer added, “Or maybe a McLaren as it’s usually an upgrade card or a premium car of luxury like a 458 Ferrari Italia.”

They’ll use the same course and just a little up grade in the price.

Asked an acceleration lane Jennifer said, “Well they do set up a lane if there’s enough room on the track where they can do a zero to 60 experience as well. And it can be an add on if they choose to do so. Do you want the sit in the back of your chair experience or do you want the swinging side-to-side experience?”

So far Anderson has spoken to many people about the experience and had gotten some good feedback.

“I’ve talked to a ton of people,” he said. “We were at the Rodeo, I talked to hundreds of people there and here of course. I’m really up front about it cause the guys that want to race, it’s not a race experience because the course is limited it’s the experience of feeling it. Feeling the turns, feeling the thrust and being able to sit in a Ferrari or Lamborghini.”

Right now they don’t have a track for the racing experience so that will have to wait. However he’s working on an experience that will unique to this area.

“One of the things that’s only happening in our Reno market is going to be the Rally Challenge. A diversion a little bit but it’s still a rally car experience,” he said.

It came from a discussion where the subject of being in the off road business as well as the touring. The other person had been in this for nine years.

Then he goes ‘how about rally car,’ and I go ‘yes’. And every body I talked to when you mention rally car they salivate. We’ll do them similar like our tours so there will be a lead car so it’s not a wide-open thing. Again it’s touring but in a rally car.”

For the past few weeks the Lamborghini has been on display at the mall but either this week or next a rally car will be on display.

Now it’s time to decide about giving this very different present for the holidays. While it can be purchased on line doing it in person does have an advantage.

exotic auto experiences

Raymond and Jennifer Anderson are bringing the opportunity to give an exotic auto experience.

“The best price is right here in Meadowood Mall so we encourage people to buy it here,” he said. “They’re buying a gift voucher so who ever they give it to can schedule where ever and when ever they want so.”

One good part is that the voucher can be used in other locations where this is offered.

Jennifer then said, “Here, Phoenix, Los Angeles or anywhere as its very flexible.”

This enables a person here to buy a voucher and use it as a gift for someone that lives in Las Vegas where they also have this program. And they aren’t locked into a set schedule.

There are two websites one can check out. Raymond’s is www.exoticautoexperiences.com while the other is www.supercartickets.com.

Either way one can give the gift of experience and the memories that will go with it. It is a very different Christmas present.
