RACING PREVIEW: DEC. 19 TO 22

RENO, NV (Dec. 18) – Racing Preview just before Christmas is almost totally in the Re-Run Zone. But take heart, racing gets going again by next weekend.

LOCAL EVENTS:

• This Sunday at 10 a.m. Carson Cars and Coffee will host their monthly meet. The location is at the Carson Mall’s parking lot and is a great way to share the holiday spirit with fellow car lovers.

REGIONAL RACING:

• When this report was written MMX Racing in Marysville has practice sessions scheduled from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. With weather heading out way this could be in doubt so be sure to call the hot line at, 530-777-9724 before heading out.

As far as E Street MX Park, Riverfront and Prairie City go, well that hot line wasn’t working when this was posted. Hopefully it can be fixed and it is 775-265-7223. Once again check before heading out.

RACING:

• Here we go into the Re-Run Zone for the next couple of weeks.

• Starting at noon Thursday www.mavtv.com has a series of races starting with the Summer Shootout Series and ending at 5 p.m. with Madera Racing.

Then at 9 p.m. CBS Sports has Super GT X-DTM Dream race from the Fuji circuit in Japan. This is followed at 11:30 by the Blancpain Intercontinental GT Challenge race from South Africa.

Finally I want to end with a little bit of humor as I know some people are counting days until the New Year begins.

Counting the days until Supercross begins.

Until next time may all of you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Back next week.

OTHER RACING NEWS:

• With Christmas just a week away two sponsors are having specials. For those last minute gifts or things a motorcycle rider might want, they should have it.

Moto-Source is having a Christmas sale through Christmas Eve.

Both shops have about anything one could ask for. One doesn’t have to wait a day or so to get a product if they have it. Once a customer buys the product then can walk, or ride out the door with it.

Supporting a local business also helps the local economy as every dollar spent has a multiplier effect as it will circulate. Please support our local shops.

• Teresa’s Garage Radio Show is on from 2 until 3 p.m. Tuesday. While I won’t be back until after New Year’s there is a new co-host Emily Cook.
