• Saturday is Keep Trails Rad Day as the Reno Area Dirt Riders will be engaged in their first trail clean up on Peavine. Things get rolling at 9:30 a.m. and goes to 5 in the afternoon.

Even if a person doesn’t ride this is a great way to clean up the trash and other things, including a boat, had have been thrown away on public land. It’s suggest that people wear boots and bring gloves. There is also a request for anyone with specialty power tools as those will be very handy when removing abandoned vehicles.

RACING (NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL):

• This morning Ryan Newman, who was injured in a huge crash at the end of the Daytona, walked out of the hospital. One picture shows him with his daughters and holding their hands as they escort their father to the car. Good news to say the least.

• Thursday is a bit slim but this week NASCAR moves west with Las Vegas Motor Speedway being the first stop. Unlike Dayton where aero and restrictor plates play a huge part now it becomes more about the driver than the car.

At 2 p.m. NBC Sports has NASCAR American while at Fos Sports 1 at 3 p.m. has NASCAR Race Hub.

• Friday begins at 11 a.m. when Fox Sports 1 has NHRA Friday Nitro from Phoenix.

Then at 1 p.m. when Fox Sports 1 has the first Cup practice from Las Vegas then at 2 p.m. the truck series qualifying. At 4:30 p.m. there is the final cup practice followed at 5: 30 by the Gander Outdoor Truck Series race.

At that same time, 5:30 p.m., www.motortrendondemand.com has qualifying from Adelaide, Australis when the Supercars qualify then at 9:30 the first of two races.

• Saturday begins at 8:30 a.m. when Motor Trend on Demand takes viewers back to Adelaide, Australia for second round qualifying for the Supercars. Then at 8:30 the network streams their second race and Top 10 Shootout.

Back here Fox Sports 1 airs the Xfinity race starting at 1 p.m. in Las Vegas. Further east NBC Sports has this week’s round of the AMA Supercross series from Arlington, Texas.

Finally at 6 p.m., on a delayed basis, Fox Sports 1 shows the NHRA Arizona Nationals from Phoenix. CBS ends the day at 7:30 p.m. with Mobile 1 The Grid show.

That’s all for this week folks. Looks like more nice weather ahead for us. If you can do give Reno Area Dirt Riders some help during their trail clean up Saturday morning.

See you next week and be safe.

• Teresa’s Garage Radio Show will be on Tuesday from 2 until 3 p.m. and can be heard over the air at 1180 AM. The show covers all things automotive.
