• Probably the biggest racing event in the country, well in Mexico, is the 53rd annual Baja 1000. This time it appears it will be two 500-mile loops and teams are already pre-running so riders and drivers can see the sections they will be handling.

The race itself begins Friday then continues on into Saturday with trophies being handed out Sunday.

We here at nvracingnews want to extend our best wishes to those competitors from Nevada that are competing. Go get’em guys and gals.

RACING (TV AND INTERNET):

• We’re back in the ReRun Zone with only a very few live events happening on TV and the Internet. Of course if one wants to see some racing www.youtube.com has a bunch of events one might have missed this year.

• Thursday gets going at 7 a.m. as CBS Sports has reruns of two World of Outlaw events. Then at 7 p.m. Fox Sports 2 repeats its broadcast of the season ending NHRA event from Las Vegas.

• On Friday, at 8 a.m. www.mavtv.com has the Red Bull Air Race World Championship season review. This is followed at 1 p.m. when the network repeats the first motos from the Pro Motocross series when it appeared at the Red Bud track.
