RENO, NV (Jan. 1, 2026) — The New Year is upon us and we’re emerging from the annual Re-Run Zone. While weather will impact some events others will continue.
CAR MEETS:
• There are two meets this coming Sunday.

- Reno Jeeps & Coffee meets at 10 a.m. by the Human Bean Coffee Stand on the corner of Longley Lane and South McCarran.

- Not far away, at 10 a.m. by the Human Bean Coffee Stand near the corner of Moana and Keitzke Lanes the Reno Cars & Coffee will have their first meet of the year.
PRACTICE & RACING (MOTOCYCLES):

• This Saturday the MRANN series is holding its 2025 Banquet at Boomtown. Doors open at 3 p.m. followed at 4 by the awards for those that race on Saturday.
Special awards are handed out right after dinner then it’s time for the Big Bike trophies. After that folks begin to prepare for the 2026 season at the very end of January.

• Due to the incoming storm practice at Riverfront MX and PCMX have been canceled. Closer to home the Sandbox MX will have open practice from 10 until 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
• E Street MX Park had not posted a schedule for this weekend so I’m guessing the storm will affect them.

• Due to the incoming storm MMX Racing postponed round 1 of this year’s Frigid 8 series. It will be held on January 11.
RACING (NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL):

• The Hyper Racing Tulsa Shootout continues through Saturday. Face Book has highlight be if you want to see it please go to www.floracing.com.

• Overseas in the Middle East the Dakar Rally is held in Saudi Arabia. The race runs from the 3rd of January through the 17th and goes all over the country.
