RENO, NV (March 25) – Here we are at the end of March and regional racing is getting started. There are car meets galore, cruises as well as a growing amount of racing on the Internet.
CAR MEETS:

• As usual the weekend begins around 8 a.m. Thursday when a group goes to Kim’s Donut and Tea House. Location is 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville.

- Thursday evening, starting at 6 p.m., Gardnerville Cars & Coffee meets at the Minden Dutch Brothers Coffee Stand. Location is 1752 U.S. 395 North in Minden.

• Friday evening at 6 p.m. there is another Friday Night Ride hosted the Reno Bike Community. Meet at the Maverik’s at Sutro and North McCarran, kick stands up at 7 p.m.

- On Friday, starting at 6:30 p.m., Carson Cars & Coffee meets at the Dutch Brothers Coffee Stand on South Carson Street.

– There is a cruise on Friday, starting at 6:30 p.m., hosted by Parkinglotpimpin. It’s Reno Cruise Pt. 3 and the meeting place is 2080 East William Street in Carson City.

• Saturday is a full day and starts at 9 a.m. when Carson Cars & Coffee meets at Bully’s Sports Bar & Grill. Location is a 3530 North Carson Street.

– Also at 9 a.m. the SKMC hosts the 12th Annual Ride for Soldiers. The assembly location is at the Veterans Guest House at 880 Locust St., Reno.

- That evening the Reno Street Heat, at 6 p.m., has a car meet. Location is 815 Lake Street, Gateway Parking Complex in Reno.

- At 6:30 p.m. Carson Cars & Coffee meets again at the Dutch Brothers Coffee Sand located on South Carson Street by the mall.

- At 7 p.m. Cars & Cream has their first meet of the year at Handels Ice Cream. Parking is by the south Starbucks and they have discount cards for the first guests.

• On Sunday, starting at noon, Gardnerville Cars & Coffee has a BBQ. Location is a Ranchos Aspen Park on Muir Drive.

• Out at the Reno-Fernley Raceway Saturday and Sunday is Inferno. Looks like a meet that features T-Rods and other cars as well as entertainment.

• The Reno/Sparks Convention Center hosts the annual Reno RV & Boat Show. Starting on Friday there is also an Off-Road & Motorsports Show, which usually has several group’s represented.
RACING (4-WHEEL):

• Rattlesnake Raceway is hosting a practice session for Outlaw Karts. No time was posted so for further information please contact Royce at 775-721-7223.

• The Reno SCCA is having a track day and time attack at Thunderhill Raceway Park over at Willows, California. Registration closes Thursday and the event runs Saturday and Sunday.

• To the south, in Baja, California, SCORE International is running the 39th annual San Felipe 250. Pre running has been going on and Saturday is race day.
PRACTICE & RACING (MOTOCROSS):

• Once again REP Racing MX has a busy schedule for the weekend. Riverfront MX has Thursday night practice from 5 until 10 then, at those same times, Friday is Mini Night. Sunday, from 9 until 2 p.m. is open practice.
- Prairie City MX has an OTHG Ride Weekend. Saturday has camping then riding from 9 until 2 p.m. Sunday, from 9 until 2 p.m. is the second ride day.
- The Sandbox in Fernley, from 9 until 2 p.m., has open practice on Sunday.

• MMX Racing, from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday has practice on the Main, Sand and Kids tracks. Sunday, from 9 until 3 p.m., has practice but the Vintage track is for OSMX.

• E Street MX Park has a double header as the track hosts rounds 6 and 7 of the P.R.O. Frigid 8 Winter Series.

- Here is the schedule for the weekend. Please note Saturday’s races are for double points.
RACING (NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL):

• Once again, with one exception, this week’s NASCAR races are behind a Pay Wall.
• Thursday, at 4 p.m. Racer.com has 2026 Supercars Championship Highlights. This series races in Australia.
- At 4:30 Fox Sports 1 has Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour. Then at 7:10 Apple TV has the first Formula 1 practice from Suzuka, Japan. Later, at 10:40 p.m., Apple TV has the second Formula 1 practice.
• On Friday, at 12:30 p.m., Fox Sports has Indy Car practice from Baber. Then at 4:30 www.floracing.com has the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race from Martinsville.
- At 7:10 p.m. Apple TV has the third Formula 1 practice and at 10:25 airs qualifying.
• Saturday starts at 7 a.m. when Fox Sports 2 has Indy Car practice then at 11:30 Fox Sports 1 takes over and shows Indy Car Practice.

- At 10 a.m. Peacock has Race Day live and at 4 p.m. airs the Supercross race from Detroit.
- At 12:55 p.m. Fox Sports 2 has MotoGP Sprint race from COTA, outside of Austin, Texas. Then at 7:50 p.m. Apple TV has the Formula 1 race from Suzuka.

• Sunday starts at 7 a.m. when Fox Sports 2 has Indy Car Warm Up then at 10 a.m. Fox airs the Children’s of Alabama Indy Grand Prix from Barber Motorsports Park.

- The day ends on Fox when at 12:30 p.m. they air the MotoGP race from COTA.

• Hot August Nights is still looking for volunteers. They are having two meetings. The first is Saturday from 10 until 1 p.m. at 1425 Greg Street in Sparks. The second meeting will be on Tuesday.
