RENO, NV (April 15) — The spring storm is gone for now and the weather is getting better. That means more car events plus more racing for the weekend.
CAR MEETS:

• As usual the weekend starts sometime after 6 a.m. when Kim’s Kruisers show up Kim’s Donut & Tea House. Location is 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville.

- That evening, starting at 6:30 p.m., Gardnerville Cars & Coffee meets at the Pizza Factory in Minden. Location is 1758 U.S. 395 North.
• Friday is also busy with a car meet and two cruises.

- Fernley’s Friday Night Cruise is back. Runs from 6 until 9 p.m. and is on Main Street in Fernley.

- Carson Cars & Coffee has another Friday-Saturday double-header with a 6:30 p.m. start time each evening. Location is the Dutch Brothers Coffee Stand located a 1231 South Carson Street.

- That same evening the Reno Bike Community has another Friday Night Ride, meet starts at 6 p.m. and kickstands up at 7 p.m. Meeting location is the Maverick station located at the corner of North McCarran and Sutro.
• Saturday is also a busy time with a trio of meets one of which is the second meet for the Carson Cars & Coffee group.

- Things get going, starting at 10 a.m. when it’s Caffeine & Gasoline. Location is 545 Depaoli Street in Reno. Hosts are Shifted Performance and Good Nuff Stuff Car Club.

- That evening, starting at 6:30 it Christ & Cars Coffee meet. Location is the Northtown Plaza art 3456 North Carson Street in Carson City.
• Sunday also has a trio of meets.

- To the south Gardnerville Cars & Coffee meets at Kim’s Donuts. Meet starts at 10 a.m. and the location is 1328 U.S. 395 North in Gardnerville.

- Closer to home, and starting at 10 a.m., Reno Cars & Coffee has its second meet of the month. Location is by the Dutch Brothers Coffee Stand by the corner of Keitzke and Moana Lanes,

- That afternoon the National Auto Museum has its first Show N’ Shine for the Museum Cup Series. This usually starts in the late morning and the location is 1 Museum Drive in Reno.
RACING (4-WHEEL)

• This weekend the Winnemucca Regional Raceway starts the 2026 season with a Friday-Saturday show. Racing starts at 7 p.m. each day and I believe everything is cash only.
PRACTICE AND RACING (MOTOCROSS)

• The motocross track at the Reno-Fernley Raceway has practice, starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

• REP Racing MX has a busy schedule this weekend.
- Riverfront MX has Thursday night practice from 5 until 10 p.m. then at those same time Friday is Mini Night. Saturday from 9 until 2 p.m. is dcmxridedays then Sunday, at those same times is open practice.

- Prairie City is hosting a OTHG Sierra National and here is the full schedule.
- The Sandbox in Fernley has open practice, from 9 until 2 p.m. Sunday. Be sure to sign up at www.repracingmx.com.

• MMX Racing from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday has practice on the Main, Sand and Kids tracks. Then from 9 until 3 p.m. Sunday the Vintage track is also used.

• This Saturday E-Street MX Park is starting its SXS series.

- On Sunday, from 9 until 2 p.m. there is practice on the front and back track.
RACING (NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL)

• Well again some of NASCAR is behind a pay wall. Only exception is the O’Reilly Auto Parts series, which is on the CW Network and Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Race broadcast by FOX.
• Thursday at 5 p.m. Fox Sports 1 has Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour followed by Speed. At 6 p.m. Racer has the 2026 Ferrari Challenge Europe followed at 7 p.m. with Trans Am Highlights.
• This weekend IMSA and Indy Car are racing at Long Beach. On Friday at 5:20 www.imsa.tv and Peacock air IMSA Weather Tech Sportscar qualifying.

• Saturday starts at 6 a.m. when Peacock has Race Day live then at noon broadcasts the AMA Supercross race from Cleveland,
- Fox Sports 1 at 9:30 a.m. has ARCA racing from Kansas. Later, at 3:30 the network has Indy Car qualifying from Long Beach.

- At 1 p.m. Peacock and NBC have the IMSA Weather Tech Sportscar race from Long Beach. Drivers have to be inch perfect as they race between walls.
• Sunday at 11 a.m. Fox carries the NASCAR Cup race from Kansas.

- Then at 2:30 the network has the Indy Car race from Long Beach. Usually an exciting race as its high speed between the walls.
That’s it for this weekend. If possible do try and attend a race or car meet. You’ll meet some great people at either event.
OTHER RACING NEWS

• Since we’re less than two weeks away I’ll put up the warning up from the Virginia City Grand Prix. Please stay away if you intend to race at the event.

• We’re less than a month away from the Stadium GP and its kickoff party. Race nights are Friday and Saturday.

• A little over a month from now is when Nevada Car Coalition hosts the Summer Salute Car Show. As far as I know they still need volunteers and the contact information is at the bottom of the poster.

• Part of the Summer Salute Car Show, which helps veterans, is the Pin Up Girl Contest. If interested the contact information and where one sends the pictures are on the poster.
• Davey’s American Racing can be found on Face Book.

He also posts schedules for various tracks and there related subjects.
