President’s Birthday Weekend has the start of racing in our area plus TV has another major racing series beginning its season. Racing Preview for this weekend has the first race of the year in our region as well as another event in Southern California and a host of things on TV as well as on the Internet. Latest word from Zeb Armstrong was that both E Street and Riverfront are still underwater. Prairie City is still doubtful since another storm is expected. The best way to check is to call the hotline at, 775-265-7223. In our area MRANN begins its

This week we have the not so good, very good, wild and things in the “Rerun Zone.” Racing Preview for this week has some bad news for area motocross riders, at least for now. And it has three major events that can be watched either on TV or streamed over the Internet. Over the hill the recent storms have slammed the motocross tracks in Northern California. The third round of the Triple Crown series that was supposed to run at the Oakfield track has been postponed for now. Promoter Zeb Armstrong on Tuesday posted photos from his two tracks, Riverfront

As spring gets closer racing is starting to heat up even though the Super Bowl will put a damper on some things. Racing preview this week has more reruns on television but there is a bunch of live events to keep most race fans happy. And some of those events aren’t too far away from this area. Also need to note that when I post times they are in the Pacific Coast area. If you’re an overseas reader we are eight hours behind GMT or UTC, both are the same thing. Currently if E Street MX Park will be open

Weather has taken a toll on events but one classic “twice-around-the-clock” event is on tap for the weekend. Racing Preview has the altered schedule for several motocross tracks as well as what will be on TV and the Internet this weekend. First of all the next round of the Bishop MX Winter Series has been moved to Saturday, February 11 due to the weather and probably track conditions. Over the hill the Prairie City track is in good condition and will host practice sessions beginning today from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. then from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday

This week while there isn’t anything in our region TV has several live events including an international one that is in Miami for the first time. Racing Preview this week goes over motocross dates that have been changed or canceled in our region. But there is some racing out of the area both live and on TV. First I need to thank a reader that lives on the East Coast. Apparently she didn’t realize these reports come from Reno, Nevada so all the times I post are Pacific Standard Time and for you that are overseas we’re eight hours behind

Another week into the New Year and there is more racing to see. Racing Preview this week has a regional event plus a bunch more on TV. The New Year is progressing and racing is starting to heat up again. Locally Livfast Exit 28 might not be having practice sessions this weekend. Early in the week it appeared to be at lake in some sections so those wanting to go might check their Face Book page. There will be motocross racing in Northern California however. The MotoPro Graphics Triple Crown is running the third leg of the series this weekend.

While there are a bunch of reruns racing is finally getting going.   Racing preview for this week still has a bunch in the “Rerun Zone,” but things are beginning to change with the start of racing. Locally Livfast Exit 28 will be open for practice, weather permitting, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. While it’s still pretty slim this week, next week there will be more. Over in TV land there are plenty of reruns plus a very anticipated start to a new season. Thursday begins at 3 p.m. as Fox Sports 1 airs a Supercross

One more week in the “rerun zone,” but fear not racing begins this weekend. Racing Preview for this week is again thin but that’s going to change this weekend. With New Year comes racing as the thunder returns. Locally Livfast Exit 28 Motocross track will probably be having practice sessions from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. When this was written there was no confirmation so one needs to check first. For those racing in the Bishop Winter Series there are practice sessions on Saturday. Usually at 8 a.m. is when the gates open followed by track time.

Another slow week for race fans but fear not the action will begin shortly. Racing Preview this week is deep in the “Rerun Zone.” Most everyone is taking the Christmas weekend off but there’s still a bunch to see. Locally, I’m not sure if Livfast Exit 28 will be open this weekend. If they are practice will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Best to check their Facebook page to find out. Over on TV and on the Internet there are more than a few things to watch. On Thursday MAVTV is carrying the load and

The Racing Preview again it’s a bit slim for race fans although Northern California will have a very different event this weekend. There is also a live event on the Internet as well as a bundle of racing shows to watch this weekend. Locally Livfast Exit 28, depending on the weather, will be open for practice from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There will be practice time at the Bishop, California MX track starting at 8 a.m. Saturday for anyone racing in that series. The big event in Northern California is Winter Jam at Sonoma Raceway, Sears

Racing Preview from now on will be a bit slim as most major series have either ended or are about. As far as local racing goes its over for the next few months although there is still some live races to spectate at if one doesn’t mind traveling. Locally Livfast Exit 28 has switched to its winter hours of from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. for Saturday and Sunday practice sessions. Both the Bishop and Triple Crown MX series are taking this weekend. Down in Porterville, California, Rocky Hill Speedway is hosting the Thanksgiving Thunder Grand Nationals, three days of

Even in November, there is still racing to watch and enjoy. Racing preview for this week has things slowing down but there is still some going on. There’s action in this region, in the south, over in California as well a nationally and internationally. After being flooded out last week Livfast Exit 28 Motocross track has dried out so there will be practice sessions from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. That flooded out event is now scheduled for next weekend so all the rounds in the 775 Fall MX Classic will be run. Some local motocross riders
