RENO, NV (Sept. 21) — This weekend car groups celebrated the end of summer with a weekend full of events.  Great weather set the stage for all of them. • Saturday began with the Impala Car Club hosting the 5th Annual Show to help Forever 14. The site was the Sun Valley Community Center. Impalas Car Club president Kevin Bland said, “It’s great, couldn’t ask for a better turn out. RENO, NV (SEPT 14) — Great weather set the stage for many car meets in our region as well as a couple of races. • The second Saturday of the month is when Nevada Vintage Euro meets. Location is by the Starbucks at the Summit Mall.  All three founders, Jonas Goldsmith, Rachel Micander and Trevor were on hand with their BMW Sedans. And Sunday was a triple header for car meets here in Reno. • Reno Jeeps & Coffee started the day off. Not a bad turn out although it’s never huge. This time someone drove their WW II Jeep to the meet that happens close to the Human Bean Coffee Stand at the corner of Longley Lane and South McCarran. This was a great way to end the final full month of summer. • Saturday afternoon is when Hot Rod Nights has another Car Show @ Sonic. Location is on South Virginia. While there wasn’t a huge turn out there were a variety of cars lined up in the parking lot. RENO, NV (Aug. 24) — As August is winding down there is a flurry of events and meets. It’s a busy time for race and car fans. • Saturday got started with the Cars and Stripes car, truck and motorcycle show. It all happened at the parking lot in front of the Sportsman’s Warehouse. There was a huge variety of cars and trucks on display.  Several rows in the parking lot were full of all types of vehicles. One unusual car was an early post war BMW.
