RENO, NV (OCT. 18) – This week’s racing preview highlights the biggest event in our area, one that has some insane action. In addition there is still racing on TV Land even though the season is winding down. The main action will be the 4 Wheel Parts Nitto Nationals that ends the Ultra 4 season at Wild West Motorsports Park. These drivers race across a small field of boulders, over rocks and up and down the big hill in back of the course then back down about 200 feet of rocks. RENO, NV (Oct. 11) – This week’s racing preview has several items, including one commemorating a special event in this area. Over in TV land there is something for just about everyone. Twenty years ago a British team set the land speed record on the Black Rock Desert. To celebrate this event there will be Gerlach Race Days Friday through Sunday. Events are golf cart races, kids races, a chili cook off, a cars show along with a craft fair an I belive a street dance. In fact some of the British team will be present. RENO, NV (Sept. 27) – Racing Preview this week has a bunch for the two-wheel crowd both locally, over the hill and on TV. There are also races to watch for oval track fans on TV and the Internet. We’ll start with the one oval track race in our region as Tonopah Speedway ends its season Saturday evening with Fan Appreciation night. The action should begin either at 6 or 7 p.m. The biggest event in our area is the annual Street Vibrations Rally starting Wednesday goingthrough Sunday at various locations although the largest part is in downtown Reno. RENO (Sept. 20) – Racing Preview for this week has an major event in our area plus others and a varied menu on TV and streamed over the Internet. There is something for just about any racing fan. In this area Saturday starts with the latest points race by the Northern Nevada Kart club at their home track, Desert Park Raceway. With only two events left in the season this will be important for those seeking championships or improving their positions. Later that evening the second round of this year’s Endurocross season will be at the Reno Livestock Events Center.

RENO (Sept. 13) – Racing Preview this week highlights the major event in our area plus regional events both here and in Northern California. Also included is TV and what is streaming on the Internet are also covered. Here in this area the biggest event are the annual National Championship Air Races, the only event on the planet where pilots go head-to-head and race each other around a marked course. Steven Hinton put down what was thought was the fastest Unlimited qualifying lap on Tuesday when he posted a speed of 479.364 miles an hour. Looked like it might hold
