    RENO, NV (May 18) – Today and tomorrow Virginia Street in downtown Reno is the site of the annual Hot August Night’s Sprint Revival. It’s a preview of this year’s festival that celebrates Cars and music. Teresa’s Garage Radio Show was represented by her 1950’s vintage Chevy.  In the front there were free stickers that advertised the radio show. She kept her car’s motor stock but did paint the valve cover pink. Many of the cars have been restored like a 1970 VW Bug or a Corvair Corsa. The street was lined with many cars of all types.   • SPRINT CAR CHALLENGE AT 95A SPEEDWAY

    FERNLEY, NV (May 12) – Saturday evening looked like an epic night for Fernley 95A Speedway on Saturday evening. The Sprint Car Challenge Tour was visiting, a large crowd was on hand and Willie Croft set a blistering fast lap of 13.70 seconds during qualifying in his Americoat-Holy Smoke BBQ sprint car.Rounding out the show was a field of 18 IMCA A Modifieds that also had some fast times in the clay track.   • BATTLE BORN MX AT THE SANDBOX

    FERNLEY, NV (May 13) – Racers competing in the Battle Born MX (BBMX) spring series returned to the Sandbox for the final time. Rain the previous night set the dirt up for some hard racing.     RENO, NV (May 9) – This week’s Racing Preview is another buffet of varied events both in this region as well as nationally and internationally. One local event brings a traveling series here for its only visit this season. The weekend actually begins on Friday at 7 p.m. as Rattlesnake Raceway has the car classes racing on the oval.   • ENDUROFEST VISITS WILD WEST MOTORSPORTS PARK

    SPARKS, NV (May 6) – Promoter Matt Musgrove brought his Endurofest back to Wild West Motorsports Park this weekend. Unlike previous editions this one had a bonus for the rider that scored the most points in four events. Sunday began with a Junior Enduro for the youngest riders and Caleb Bonneville won that event. The event was 45-minutes long with obstacles designed with the younger riders in mind. Bonneville was able to complete 13 laps while second place Chris Newell only had 12 and third place C.J.       QUINCY, CALIF. (May 5, 2018) – This weekend American Valley Speedway in Quincy, Calif. hosted the 5th annual Dave Richardson & Leroy Kay Memorial Race. The event is also the Western States Dwarf Car Association Nationals and it drew around 60 of these little cars. There is racing on Friday but the finals are run Saturday.
