RENO, NV (July 20) — This was a busy weekend for car, cruise and racing fans. There were all kinds of events going on in our area.   • One highlight on Saturday was the Cars & Cream meet at Handels. They make homemade ice cream and this meet may have draw the largest turnout of all. There were all types of cars including a very small one used by the son of the white car’s owner. RENO, NV (JULY 13) — Despite the record setting heat it was a busy day here in Reno. There were two car meets plus a function that brought bike clubs together for a charity event aimed at helping disadvantaged kids that needed school supplies. • Things got rolling around 10 a.m. when Sparks Cars & Coffee met at the Starbucks off Disc Drive.  In addition to groups of Corvettes one had its top in the halfway position . RENO, NV (April 13) — Great spring weather brought car people out for three different events this Palm Sunday. Two were meets while there was a very well attended swap meet. • Things started early Sunday morning, around 6 a.m., when Classic Chevys started their 14th annual Spring Swap Meet. RENO, NV (April 6) — Today two groups met and started the month off. There are other items in this report as well. • Good weather helped a good turn out at Reno Cars & Coffee’s meet Sunday morning. As usually there was a mix of various cars and people to appreciate seeing them. One of the cars there was a NOVA SS and Richard Marin took a great pictures of it. SPARKS, NV (March 9) — Great weather set the stage for the month’s first meet with Sparks Cars & Coffee. As usual there were a variety of cars, imports, domestics as well as exotics. There was a nice Corvette row with various models on display including front and mid-engine models. Not far away was a 1964 Chevy Corvair whose original owner still has it.
